Everything was the same as usual at the DWMA. Stein was busy dissecting a penguin with a maniacal grin plastered onto his face, and the students were watching, some disgusted, some bored, and some were even feeling sympathy for the poor little fella. Everything was normal.
Me and Kid had started dating a couple of months ago when we both admitted we had feelings for each other. Everyone was okay with us being a couple, even Lord Death, who took the news very well and was very supportive of our relationship.
I was, as always, not paying much attention to the lesson, when I noticed that Kid was acting strange.
He was so pale his skin looked like freshly fallen snow, and he was struggling to stay awake, letting his eyes flutter closed, and then snapping them open again.
"Hey, you okay Kiddo?" I asked him and reached for his hand, giving it a squeeze. Kid looked over at me and smiled. "I'm fine Soul, just a bit tired today, that's all." He reassured me and squeezed my hand back.
"Are you sure? You look a little sick." I said while I brushed Kids hair out of the way, placing my hand on his forehead. I immediately took my hand off. It felt like if I was sticking my hand in an oven. "Oh Kiddo, you're burning up! I'm taking you to the Nygus."
I took Kids hand and helped him walk out of the room. Everyone was too busy watching Stein cutting the penguin that no one noticed us leave.

As we headed down to the infirmary, I began to get more and more worried about Kid. Kid was having a hard time keeping up, constantly tripping over his own feet, causing him to fall down, twice
I clearly noticed him wobbling around, and I wrapped my arms around Kid's waist to try and help him walk.
Then after about a minute of walking, Kid stopped and just stood there, swaying back and forth, in a way that made it it look like he was about to fall over.
I stopped and looked in his eyes, which appeared very dull and colorless, unlike the beautiful dark golden honey color that I was used to. "K-Kid? W-What's wrong, a-are you okay?" I asked, trying not to trip over my words.
Kid let out a groan and weakly muttered, "Soul, I don't feel so good..." before fainting and falling to the ground, slipping out of my grasp.
I just stood there in total shock, I didn't know what to do. I was trying not to panic. My mind was racing, thoughts going left and right through my head. "What do I do? What do I do?!" I snapped out of my thoughts and picked Kid up, putting one arm under his legs, and the other around his back. I started running. Running off towards the infirmary. Running as if my life depended on it.
Well, that's it for now! Sorry about the cliffhanger, I like to do that sometimes MWEHEHEHE!! I know that this book isn't finished yet, but please trust me, I'll try to get it done as soon as possible even though school is a pain in the ass!!
