Black feathers fell...

A girl smiling happily along with her parents and aunt...

 An evil angel smiles...

 Mist and angels singing everywhere...

Who am I? a feminine voice echoed.

An eye fluttered opened, and the person's eye was a beautiful blue.

She walked through a forest with her red cloak fluttering behind her. She came to a village. She gasped when she saw a young man appear near her, staring through her eyes. "Are you alright?" he asked kindly, still the girl stared at him...

The girl and young man sat in his home, as the girl looked down. "What is your name?" he asked but the girl still looked away...

"She's a mute" an older woman said meanly. "Then I'll teach her to speak!" the young man stood up for the girl...

After what seemed forever, the young man crouched down in front of her. "Come now, speak" he said hopefully. She looked up to him and with a whisper she said, "... I don't... remember..."

The young man and his grandfather leaned against the side of their home. "There's nothing we can do for the girl. She has lost her memories..." the old man said. "No... there is," the young man said making his grandfather look up at him. "I'll teach her everything."

Flashes of the young man teaching the girl many things- outside and inside, writing, and then speaking. "My. Name. Is. Jon-a-than." the young man said slowly to her. "Jona-than..." the girl said softly making the young man smile and she smiled back.

"Don't listen to what they say," Jonathan said to her as they sat on a hill looking at the sunset. They looked at each other and Jonathan smiled sweetly at her, "You're just you." The girl faintly smiled back.

"I have to find my memories, Jon." the girl said and then both of them embraced. "I'll wait for you" he said and the girl walked away further and further away from the village...

 Black feathers fell...

The girl passed through a village...

then another... and another...

She reached a village and met two boys as they smiled at her. She always stayed with them as the boys loved her more and more. "You will stay with us forever, won't you?" the younger boy asked and the girl smiled sadly...

"That girl must be a curse..." a man muttered.

"She can't be. She's beautiful," another man said.

"Don't be deceived! She wears the devil's color!" the first man harshly whispered back.

"Yes, she could be a siren..." a woman whispered.

A fire mirrored in the girl's eyes as the village burned. Her eyes teared up...

She traveled on and reached a camp area surrounded by big cages on wagons...

Bright lights hung up over a stage...

She watched as a man with make up on, get on stage and he outstretched his arms. "Welcome to the Noah's Ark Circus!" and the crowd cheered.

The circus performers gathered around the girl as they were backstage. "What's your name girl?" the same man with makeup asked while he tilted her chin up. "...Mystery..."

"I say we let you join us, sweetheart" he said as the others agreed or didn't care. "Hmmm... she doesn't seem so special..." a woman in tight leather and looked like an animal tamer said with velvet and malice in her voice as she slashed whip on the ground.

"Do you think I'll get my memories back?" Mystery asked the man, who smirked. "Oh, I assure you. You will in a matter of time..."

During different times, Mystery spent time by herself not knowing a crow watched her and its eyes flickered red...

Mystery reached a village that was cursed. Mystery looked curiously at the villagers...

"Why are all the villagers frightened?" Mystery asked a middle aged woman as they walked and talked. "The people know her as the Woman in Black... whenever she's been seen, something terrible has happened..."

Mystery reached an abandoned mansion in the marshes. She had stopped in the graveyard and saw a glimpse of a woman dressed in black hidden far away in the trees next to more graves...

Mystery entered the mansion as she passed by creepy, old dolls. She reached the middle of the room. "Why are you doing this?" she asked loud enough. "I know there's something we both want..." She saw a swish of black and a terrifying scream as Mystery backed away...

"Mystery, you can't!" Jonathan exclaimed as he held Mystery by the arm. "She'll kill you!" Mystery looked at him calmly. "No she won't... I need to help her..."

Mystery put up her red hood on her head and walked as her movements and everything around moved slowly. She stopped as she reached in the middle of graveyard and the woman in black showed up...

 Silence...

Who am I? Where do my memories lie?

Mystery was by herself in the woods as she stood silently...

All of a sudden, wings flapping in the air were heard loudly and black feathers fell. A crow's 'caw!' rang and Mystery turned around sharply and scared, only to find nothing...

A lone black feather floated down slowly until in lightly touched the water's surface. Ripples were made and as the slowly cleared up a dark figure showed up, with glowing eyes shining in the darkness...

"That girl is quite a mystery..." Jonathan's grandfather's voice echoed...
