If there was one word to describe Zen it would be one thing; perfect. He was one of the most sweetest, good-looking, and talented guys anyone would ever know. Maybe that's the problem as to why I felt so insecure next to him. There were times when we walked down the same pathway, hand in hand and I'd hear things like 'what's he doing with that pig' and 'he can do so much better.' That's probably why I started to decline most of the dates he offers, leaving the house to go stay at a friends house so that he thought I was at work.

It's been three months this has been going on and it seems like Zen notices more often whenever I decline his dates. He's even attempted to grab my arm whenever I leave the house and then I'd hear him cuss and slam things around.

Today was no different as Zen stopped me halfway in the room with a bouquet of flowers. "Hey babe~ wanna go on a date?" The same question he asks ever week.

"Sorry I have work. You know this." I say, my voice monotone from all the times of me saying the same exact thing. Something was different as I looked up, Zens smile slowly receding. "You know I can't help it-"

Zen threw the bouquet at me, kicking close the door behind him. "That's it. I can't do this anymore. If you didn't have feelings for me you could've just said so!" He stomped over to me, yanking me toward him with my eyes widened to the size of quarters. "Do you hate me? Are you ashamed of me?" His voice dropped into a whisper. "Am I not good enough for you?" That's when he placed his head on my shoulder. Something wet hit my neck causing me to gasp and wrap my arms around him.

"Zen that's not it! It's just... I don't feel.. like I'm good enough for me you. I mean your perfect and I'm...-" I was cut off by him pressing his lips on my own. This had been the first time in three months we've kissed so I wrap my arms around his neck, bringing him down on top of me. I felt him smile against my lips. "How about that date you mentioned?" My confidence grew a little. "Just... don't get upset if someone makes fun of us-" he stopped me with another kiss.

"As long as we're together I'll be happy. I love you."
