Slamming my locker door, I walked off down the hallway looking down. I'm such an idiot; I though reap tingly as I continued walking. I made my way over to my first hour class, and about everyone in the class room was talking about Chloe and Max. The only person wasn't talking was Chaz himself. With that glance, I sat down trying to ignore all the whispers. "I wish everyone would just shut up already!" Chaz said aloud. I was with him on that one, completely. This was none of their business in the first place!

Everyone glanced Chaz's way, for about ten seconds everything was quiet, and then as that past over, everything just got louder. This wasn’t going to end, very well. Which that was probably the most truthful thing I thought for quite a while. The second bell rang, just in time for everyone to shut their freaking mouth up. “Hello, class. Today you will get partners for your project.” Mr. Smith told us. He has to be kidding me! “You will have three people in your project.” Let me guess, we have to say our project in front of the class, I hated getting in front of the class in the first place.

I raised my hand. “Do we have to say our parts aloud?” I asked.

“Yes, Alison. You will have to, that’s the point in this project.” He replied. “And Alison, in your group it will be Max Chambers and Chaz Evans.” I gasped, this couldn’t be happening to me! “Max and Chaz go sit by Alison.” With that I went in my own little world as he called out the other groups.

“There’s your mate, Max.” I heard Chaz say, but I didn’t have a clue what he was talking about. After class was over with, Chaz and Max both walked over to my locker. I closed it and started to walk away but stopped as one put his foot down, blocking my path.

"Hey!" I shouted out in protest as I took a couple of steps forward, and groaned.

“My house tonight," Max demanded. "And we're going to do England for our project."

“Thanks Max, for picking out my favorite country!” I smiled at that. “But why your house?”

"Cause’," He started when a scream ran down through the hall. I turned around. There it was again, besides more urgent. It was a freshman who screamed. She had blooding coming down her face. But when I blinked, the blood was gone from her face altogether.

I called to her, "Hey, are you okay?"

"Don't talk to her." I heard Max say in a warning voice.

She cried softly and I took a step closer to her. "What's wrong?" I asked softly. She wailed as I took another couple of steps closer. She then made a fail attempt to wash away her tears and look away with her knuckle. When I came face-to-face with the girl, Max grabbed my arm, and then pulled me back.

"What are you in heaven sakes doing?" He whispered harshly in my ear, enough to make me wince. “Did you hear what I just said to you?! Stay AWAY FROM HER.”

"It's none of your business." I stated. “And I don’t have to listen to you! You’re not my father, nor are you my boyfriend!”

"It is too!" He said while he stomped. “Everything about you is my business.” What does he think he is?!

I tried not to smile but I failed. “Stop acting like a kid.” I looked about the hallway, trying to find the 9th grader, but she was nowhere to be seen. I grabbed my books out of my locker and then headed off to my next class. Yeah I grabbed the wrong text book, the first time I was at my locker.

Why can’t Max just leave me alone? What happened to my old life, when no one knew who I was? I missed being alone. I miss being invisible to everyone.

                                                                    Max

Alison gray is my mate, and she doesn’t even know it! My wolf is mad at me for not marking her yet. Ugh, I settled my wolf down as it clawed to take over. Finishing eating a french fried, I got up and walked away. I walked out of lunchroom and made my way down the hallway and then I stopped dead in my tracks. “Are you insane?” A female voice asked. “You can’t just go off and kill her! He will come after you. You would be dead in a heartbeat.”

The guy sneered. “I don’t give a shit! She needs to be dead! She’s only half wolf. Who knows what she would do to any of us! And what about the humans, Lilly, they have a life to you know!”

Lilly shook her head. “Alison Gray is Max’s mate. You can’t just go after her like this.”
