Kayden 2 (On Hold)

Part 2: 2

I sat at the
kitchen table and looked at my dad cook. He's a really good cook, his dream job was to be a chef. "so what are we eating today chef?"I asked him.

"Baked potatoes, red beans, cornbread,chicken, and for desert peach cobbler" he said with a big smile.

"Ight chef" I said smiling. I was distracted by a knock on the door. " I'll get it" I said clapping my hands together.

I opened the door to see Tony. I stepped out of his way to let him come in. "Sup pops" he said nodding at dad. "Sup boy" he responded. " ready for work?" He asked him. "Little bit" Tony replied.

"aye we bout to go walking" Isaiah said . "ooo can I take your car for a drive?" I asked him. " No but you can walk" he said. "Why can't I ?" I asked picking up his keys. "I just got it Man like two hours ago literally" he said snatching his keys.

" Kayden is taking his nap, you might as well come" Will said putting his hat on his head. "Fine" I said getting my shoes.

"About to go Walking we'll be back" Isaiah said opening the door. My dad nodded and started back cooking.

We walk past my favorite store, it brought back many memories. I will admit they were good memories, I had some good times to remember. "On our way back can we stop at that store we just passed?" I asked looking back at it. "We'll see" Isaiah answered looking at his phone.

We kept walking, and i started to notice guys surrounding a store. I started to tense up, and suddenly felt uncomfortable. "Don't worry I got you" Tony said grabbing my hand. I'm guessing he saw me tense up. I looked away as we walked by, out of all the males voices i caught one that sounded so familiar. I turned around to see Trevon, I looked away quickly. I hadn't realized I was squeezing Tony's hand until he pulled away. "Sorry" I said looking at him.
Isaiah turned and looked at me, I could tell he saw the same person I had seen.

On our way back home, we stopped at the store. I got candy and Kayden's favorite chips. By the time we got back  the food was done,and i wasted no time.

I played with Kayden, helping him with his blocks. I heard a knock at the door, I put the blocks down and got up. I opened the door to see some guy. "Can I help you?" I asked pushing the door up,so he could only see my face. "Yeah I'm looking for Tony" he said putting his hand in his pocket. "Sorry he isn't here" I said closing the door and locking it.
