3 WEEKS LATER

A few weeks had passed and a lot had happened.

Stoker was moved into Stella's lab and one of her spare rooms, as were the other biker mice; Limburger had tried to kill them all at least three times, ending in the demolition of his tower which was currently under a rebuild. It also resulted in the regenerator getting smashed to pieces meaning Stoker was back to the start of rebuilding it; Stoker had been forced to tell the gang about the regenerator and how once it was finished he would be taking it back to Mars to help; finally, Stella had once again had a good idea for an invention, worked out all the theory work and was now onto actually experimenting practically.

"-Just add a little bit of you and a drop of you annnnnnnnd done! In theory anyway! Stoker?"

The mouse looked up from what he was doing, "You called?"

"Do you think you could help me a sec?"

"Whatcha need, Honey?"

"This is the first trial of my new idea I need someone who knows the ins and outs to be on hand when I put it in action. You okay to stand by just in case I need ya?"

"Of course, Chick, I'll look after ya." He winked before getting into serious science mode. Stella pressed record on her camera, which was already set up ready to witness any change. She picked up a needle filled with the serum and turned to the camera.

"This is Dr Stella Macgee. Project number 852: Mixing Animal DNA with Human DNA to achieve forced evolution, Practical Trial number 1. DNA in serum is Feline, donor is a female white tiger currently living in the Chicago Zoo. If all goes well the test subject should experience a rapid heightening of senses, agility and speed in reactions." She wiped her arm with a steriliser, flicked the needle a few times before injecting herself with the serum.

"What the hell, Stella!" Stoker exclaimed. "Whatcha doing testing it on yer self? What if it goes wrong?"

"That's why you are here. You will know how to stabilize it if need be. And I test all my experiments and inventions on myself. I don't believe in using innocent animals to test on and no human in their right mind will volunteer for them." Stoker was lost for words. He understood her reasoning but a low-key panic was bubbling in him. Over the last few weeks he had come to care and become quite fond of Stella's odd ways.

After an hour there was still no reaction. Stella reported this to her camera.

"Four hours has passed. By now there should have been some change in the test subject. All machines show vitals are all normal and no change has occurred. One must assume the Feline DNA has remained dormant. This Trial is a Failure."

1 MONTH LATER

"Dr Stella Macgee, Project number 852: Mixing Animal DNA with Human DNA to achieve forced evolution, Practical Trial number 34. DNA still Feline, donor the same, expected reactions the same." After an entire month of repeating the experiment daily in hopes of results Stella had become quite resigned to the idea now. She had dismissed Stoker so he could go see the bros and had decided to just carry on the experiments herself, not expecting a change any time soon, if at all. She had subtly changed the experiment little by little giving herself larger doses of the serum and concentrating it more and more. This time was no different, she made the alterations and noted them down in the now very worn black leather note pad. The needle went into her harm easily, sending the serum into her blood stream.

"3 hours, no results. Maybe tomorrow will hold our answers." With that she shut off her camera and make her way upstairs to her room. She showered and got ready for sleep before collapsing on the comfy bed and drifting off.

Sharp pain overtook her body. It was as if every pour on her body was leaking lava! Her teeth and nails ached too. Her eyes felt strained and it made her dizzy. Throwing off the duvet she tried to make her way down the stairs to her Lab. She had to record this. Stumbling and crashing into numerous walls as she went. She finally made it to her lab, fumbling to get the camera on and start recording she sat in front of it speaking to her non existent audience, describing what was happening and what it might be.

Another wave of pain washed over her making her clutch her head as it pounded. She tried to get her phone and dial one of the guys, Stoker, Charley anyone but couldn't see properly. Thank god for voice command is all she could say.

"Call Chicken."

"Calling Chicken" the robot voice repeated and started dialling. Finally the other end picked up.

"Stell? What's up?"Charley's voice, thick and groggy with sleep. Another wave hit Stella, the pain making her coil up and curl her hands into claws; a pained cry leaving her lips. "Stell? Stella! What's wrong?" Charley's frantic calling on the other end of the phone continued.

"Chick- AGHHH- come now. Stoker bring- AGGHHH" Panting and groaning she tried to override the pain she was feeling but her mind wouldn't let her. Charley stayed on the phone with her the entire time, she had kicked Stoker off the couch to wake him up, waking up the other three mice in the process, and kept on the phone trying to sooth Stella the whole ride over. The sound of the front door crashing open and thundering footsteps met Stella's delicate ears.

She turned to look at the filled doorway from her place on the floor where she lay writhing in pain.

"Hey Stokes, I think it's working!" Another wave of pain and a sickly crack filled the room as her back bent in an awkward upwards position, the pain focused at the base of her back.

"Shh, Honey, Ya gon' be fine." Stoker's rich voice filled her ears, his rustic scent filled her nose as she breathed. Her body relaxed at his touch and finally the pain ended. Exhausted Stella collapsed onto the floor into the brown mouse's arms. He carried her back up to her room and quietly shut the door, turning to face the four waiting bodies in front of him.

"Stoker, I'm speaking for everyone here when I ask: What the Fuck just happened?" A shook up Charley asked, all three of the biker mice agreed, also looking a little shaken by what they had just witnessed. And so Stoker told them what had been going on. By the end of the story the boys had a confused mixture of emotions on each of their faces, but Charley was livid.

The rest of the night was spent with her screaming at Stoker for hours for even allowing her best friend to do the bloody experiment before finally storming up to Stella's room where she quietly climbed in the bed next to her friend and held her hand.
