If you had of told my seventeen year old self that in the future I'd be walking down the street with Virginia and Alyssa, I would have laughed at you and told you to jump off a cliff. That's currently what I'm doing. We'd just finished getting our hair done along with our nails, and now we're walking back to Virginia's place. At first, Alyssa gave me hell about inviting Virginia to one of our day outs, but she lightened up once they got to talking. They found out that they had a lot in common, more than they thought they would have. Jordan announced a couple of days ago that we were all taking a trip to Paris and we've been spending the last few days getting prepared for the trip.

"Make yourselves at home. I'll get some lemon and tea made." Virginia throws her keys on the table, making her way into the kitchen.

"No lemon for me!" Alyssa shouts after her.

Virginia throws a hand in the air, letting her know she heard her. Alyssa and I both plop down on the couch, tired from all the ripping and running we've been doing today. Who knew looking good would take so much effort. That's probably why I dressed like a troll for half of my high school life to avoid all the effort Alyssa and Virginia had to go through to look like they did.

"I'm thinking about not going on that trip." I look over at Alyssa to see her head tilted back, looking up at the ceiling.

"What? Why?" I turn my body towards her, sitting up a little.

She sits up, turning towards me. "Because both Daniel and Troy are going to be there. I'm not talking to either one of them and they're not talking to me. It's a recipe for disaster."

The night Jordan and I had our argument, Troy and Alyssa broke up. She cut things off with him and since then, he's been on his man period. He's angry all the time and he has started back sleeping with multiple girls. A couple of nights ago Jordan had to go get him at a bar because he was too drunk to drive home. He's heart broken, but now he finally knows how the girls he slept with and dumped feel.

"Well, somebody's vacation is going to be ruined." Virginia walks in with a tray of tea and lemons, placing it down on the table. She sits down in between Alyssa and me, looking between us to finish our conversation.

I trust Virginia, but I'm still getting used to telling her stuff and talking to her as a friend. It doesn't feel right with her being nice to us and us being nice to her. I wonder whatever happened to Carmen and Kimberly?

"You're telling me." Alyssa sighs, frustrated about the situation.

"I can't believe Alyssa McCord broke Troy Wilson's heart." Virginia smirks. She probably thinks Troy deserves this after the way he treated all those girls back in high school. Even her.

"He hates me. I told him I just needed time to think." She grabs a cup of tea, blowing on it before taking a small sip.

"Been there. Word of advice, choose the guy you know like the back of your hand."

I wish I would have known what I knew now then. Things would have been so different. I wouldn't have hesitated in making a decision between Jordan and Shawn.

"Yeah, Jake told me you were engaged to another guy. What's his name?" She snaps her fingers, trying to recall Shawn's name.

"Shawn." I help her out.

"Right! Shawn. What happened?" She asks and I look at Alyssa before looking down at the cup of tea. Memories of Shawn abusing me floods through my mind, causing tears to spring to my eyes. It's over, Abby. You never have to go through that again, I tell myself.

Virginia notices my sudden change in mood and she scoots over, placing an arm around my shoulder. I wipe away a fallen tear, trying to keep myself together.
