"Phil!!!" I scream. Obviously he was taken aback by this gesture because he jumps and drops the streamers he was holding.

"Oh my god, Dan, you scared me... Where is my coffee?" He demands.

"Phil, not the time to be asking about coffee. You remember Erin? My ex girlfriend?"

"Yeah." He replies.

"Well..... she kind of lost her memory... that night she walked out... she got hit by a car and forgot everything."

"Wait what?"

"Exactly my reaction when Becky told me."

"Becky? Oh yeah... that girl that was best friends with Erin and kinda hates-" He stops himself after realizing what he was saying.

"Yeah... she still hates me... but again, not the time. I'm thinking of getting Erin's number." I know it's kind of a stupid idea but I never really got over Erin and this memory loss thing is almost like a second chance.

"So you're saying that you want to take advantage of a person that has memory loss..." He always made bad ideas seem 10 times worse, but I had to try, just once.

"Uhmm, I wouldn't put it that way... C'mon Phil think about what you felt for Jamie. Wouldn't you do the same?"

Phil's face showed nothing but anger, but quickly changed to sorrow at the thought of Jamie's name, " Go. I'm not going to tell you it's a good idea or anything."

I turned and walked out the doors of the store and started to make my way across to the little shop I had seen Erin walk into last.

As I approach the shop I have many questions running through my head, "Will I be able to pull it off? Has she really forgotten everything? Is this my second chance?"

Through the frost kissed window, I can see that Becky has caught up to Erin in the sweets shop. Crap. I just need to find a way to get Erin away from her so that I can sell her with my charm and get her number. Sounds easier in my head than it actually is. Oh well worth a shot.

I struggle to pull open the door, then realize its a pull door and feel like a total twat. Nice start Dan, really sell a girl on your charm when you walk into the shop like that.

As soon as I stumble in Becky turns to me and motions for me to turn around and walk right back through that door. But, I refuse. I stride over to where Becky and Erin stand (looking at jelly beans) and Becky pushes me back with her elbow whispering "Be right back." to Erin. What now?

"What the hell are you doing?" She asks in an interrogational way.

"I'm getting my ex girlfriend back." I say with a stupid grin on my face.

"What are you talking about... She can't remember you. She is-" I walk past her cutting her off from her sentence. I'm not letting her get in my way.

"Sup girl" I say to Erin. What the hell? Sup? I couldn't have said something else. Oh my god.

"Uhmm hi" She replies, smiling at me. Oh my god I love her smile.

"I'm sorry I uh, spilled that on you in the coffee shop." I say motioning to the soaking patch in her sweater.

"Oh, this? That's nothing I should have probably looked where I was going." She says her face turning bright red.

"You're really pretty, Especially when you are blushing like that."

"What I'm blushing... Oh my god I can't believe...." She says trailing off, talking to herself,

"Ummm, I don't know you quite well. Wait, you seem familiar."

" R-really?" I stutter.

She can't remember, how does she know?

"Mhmmm... Do you make videos? Like YouTube?"

"Why yes, yes I do." I reply calmed by her response.

"Oh god. You really are danisnotonfire. Yeah... I've kinda seen a few of your videos, but, after today, I think I'll be watching a few more." She grins and hands me a piece of paper with a number sprawled across it in smudged black ink and walks out of the shop with Becky slowly trailing behind her.
