Meeting Zach

I hurry outside, running as fast as I could to the bus. I arrive just as Sienna goes through the door. I see an elderly man. The bus driver.. "Have a nice day miss" he greets as I walk in and take a seat near the window. Emelia sits next to me. "You excited?" She asks. I stare out the window. Day dreaming has been a favourite pastime of mine, ever since I was young. The chatter of the other students is loud, and as an old habit of mine, I eavesdrop a few conversations. "Look, my parents bought me a new car, the newest version of the Ferrari." Must be a graduate. I feel a sharp prod on my arm. I turn, facing an annoyed Emelia. Oh no, I must have been daydreaming again! "I said, are you excited!? You know, for school." "Oh, yeah, I'm really excited!" I say enthusiastically. Emelia smiles. A crackling noise sounds through the bus. I recognise the voice of the bus driver. "Next destination: New York High, 5 minutes."

The buildings only rose higher. Skyscrapers of all colours and sizes strung together, with the occasional park. I was bursting with excitement. The bus slowed to a screeching hault outside the school. The entrance was stationed with two statues of George Washington, the smooth marble glistening in the sunlight. The doorways to the school were blocked by the view of a fountain centred in the path. "It's amazing!" Gasped Alyssa. We made our way through the entrance towards the school. Excitement hung in the air as students chatted away in the grounds. "I wonder if we will have a guide to show us around this place?" Emelia breathed in my ear. Not five seconds later, a boy headed towards us. His black hair rippled in the wind and green eyes shone with excitement. He did not speak until he was right in front of us. "I'm Zach." He greeted. "You must be the new students."

Hi everyone? I know this isn't really a new part but my co writer made this chapter really short so I decided to give you all what you deserve. I'm working as hard as I can to get another chapter out! Thanks for staying loyal and reading the series.
