"Matt, what the hell are you doing here?" I asked glaring a Matt who decided to show up at my apartment door at such an ungodly hour.
"Why aren't you ready? It's like 8AM." He checked his watch before stating me up and down. I was still in my pajama shorts and tank top. While he looked all business ready in a black suit and white dress shirt but this time with no tie. Sue me if I'm not a morning person.
"What am I supposed to be ready for and how did you know where I lived?"
"Brandon needs you and Kingston in his office and I know people that know where you live." He shrugged, stepping around me so he could walk into my apartment.
I shut the door behind us and turned to glare at him. I certainly did not invite him into my apartment. He just takes a seat on my green couch and winks at me like he owns the place. I roll my eyes and walk past him and into the kitchen.
"Do you want coffee?" I ask.
"No thank you. I've already had my fair share this morning."
"Suit yourself." I shrug, proceeding to make my own coffee. "Why do I need to be with Kingston in Brandon's office?"
"Well you see, Friday and Sunday's are Brandon's and Kingston's days to spend together." He said making gestures with his hands. "And since Brandon's usually working, he just lets Kingston tag along."
I purse my lips into a tight line and slightly nod. "Okay, what time do I need to be there?"
"In about and hour. I can give you a lift if you want."
"Thanks Matt." I say cupping my mug in my hand. I make my way over to the living room and sit next to him. "Are you Brandon's secretary?"
He blinked and stared at me as if I were joking. I then shook my head which lead to him bursting out in laughter. I don't get what's so funny. It was just a simple question. Plus, he doesn't look like secretary material.
"You think I'm the secretary?" He asked touch his hand to his chest, wheezing slightly.
"Well yeah. Sarah, the receptionist, said that his secretary will come get me and then you showed up so I assumed you were his secretary." I explain, pausing to take a sip of my coffee.
"I'm his best friend and I run my own business." He stated. "I don't have time to be a secretary."
"Do you have any kids?" I blurted by mistake.
"Me?" He asks pointing to himself.
"No Matt. The damn wall." I roll my eyes. Sarcasm at its highest point. "Of course I mean you."
"No I don't have kids." He paused pouting his lips. "At least I think I don't have any kids."
"Ew. You're such a man whore."
"You hurt my feelings."
"Are you even capable of any?"
"Damn that was good." He laughed and nodded in approval. "Now get your ass ready. We've got to leave soon.
I set my mug down and proceeded to my room. I only stopped in my tracks when I heard Matt call for me.
"Yes?" I shouted back, poking my head out of my room fort.
"Your coffee smells really good." He said. "Do you mind if I make myself some?"
"No, just go ahead." And with that I dashed into my room.
I finished showering after about ten minutes. I had already set my outfit out the previous night. I chose a long sleeve crop top with 3/4 jeans. I was feeling the really young nanny vibe so I played it down with black yeezy's. I looked much more of the teenager I am than the business mode I was sporting yesterday. It took me at least thirty minutes to perfect my make up and as for my hair I just wore it in a messy bun.
