Chapter 12 ( The Story Behind)

Sofia's Pov

My head is throbbing when I woke up. I got up slowly while holding my head.

I found myself in a bench outside of the house. Then,  I saw policemen around investigating.

"Sofia,  are you okay?" grandma ask worriedly

I look at her with a very sad face then I cried hardly.

"Sofia everything will be okay please don't cry" I heard someone speak behind me. I know that voice.

I turn around then I saw Rex and his team.

"Rex" I uttered still crying

"I'm so worried with you. We came here to take a visit but we saw your grandma  running then she told us what happened. Danny called the police and I rushed inside the house to get you. " he said worriedly giving me a hug

"Rex I'm scared!  Whoever killed my family was so heartless"  I cried out loud

"Maybe she's the one responsible for this!" Grandma uttered seriously while drying her tears

"Who? " I asked confused

"The lady in a white bloody dress with a blood dripping from her mouth and a red eyes! "

Grandma said with a frightened voice

My eyes widened for what I've hear!  That lady.....!!!  That lady is the one that I have seen in my dream!

"Who is she? Why is she doing this" I asked horrified

"She is the girl who died on that balete tree" grandma said staring at the balete tree near our house.

"Did you mean vineetha? " Rex  asked grandma curiosly

"How did you know? " grandma asked him a bit shock

Rex smiled bitterly. He sighed before he spoke

"Because her lover is one of my great friend"

There's a spark of loneliness in his eyes.

Deep inside his soul, i can feel his sadness.

I stared at him then I asked "Where is your friend?  And why are you sad? "

"He's gone away Sofia,  he's not gonna come back" he uttered sadly

Grandma sighed deeply then she spoke.

"I can still remember everything that happened four years ago...

The main reason  why that lady died"

Rex,  his friends and I just stared at grandma.

Grandma sighed again then she continued speaking

"Four years ago,  there's a girl who lived near the shore. She loves to go to the sea everyday.  She's a very sweet and lovable girl but she's a shy type. She got two close friends,  a handsome guy and the other one named Vimal. As each months and years passes the three of them got closer to each other.  Then,  when they were teenagers already,  the two guys unexpectedly fall in love with the girl. Both of them courted her but the girl said yes to that handsome guy.

Vimal's heart was crushed and broken by that time.  But since he love the girl too much. He let go of the girl.  But,  he told that handsome guy not to hurt her and if he ever did,  he'll pay.  The guy promised vimal he will never break her heart.  Unfortunately,  something happened!  While the guy and the girl was swimming in the deeper part of the sea,  the girl had crumps on her legs and she almost drowned! She had drank too much sea water which caused her to collapse. The guy took her to the hospital and she's in comma for 5 days!

Because of that accident,  the girl's parents were angry.  They don't want her to see the guy again so the took her to the city.

The guy was broken at that time. He was so sad and depressed. He loved the girl too much.  Suddenly,  a girl named vineetha came.  She's kind hearted and innocent just like an angel. Unexpectedly,  she caught his eyes.  She saved his heart and she was able to heal it.  They got along together until they confessed each other's feelings.  After that they become lovers!

Vimal,  upon knowing it,  he got angry.  For him the guy cheated to the girl whom he loves.  And with that,  he planned something evil.  He went to his friend Allan then he paid him and his gang to kill that girl vineetha. 

So,  on vineetha and the guy's anniversary,  Allan and his gang do their plan. They killed her!  And some of his gang member raped her  on that balete tree"

I was speechless after hearing the whole story.

"I did know it!" Rex said still staring at grandma

"What happened to Allan and his gang after that" I asked confused

"A few months after that incident,  Allan's body was found hanging on a tree near his house with a sharp knife stabbed at his heart!

Then his gang die one by one with the same cause of death,  hanging in a tree and a knife stabbed by their heart!  We don't know who did that but many said it's vineetha having revenge! " danny uttered seriously

"What about vimal?" I asked again

"H.. He  killed himself...  A.... After "Dennis' voice is shaking

"After he killed one of our great friend" jhonny said staring at me sadly

Rex,  Danny, Dennis and Johnny's faces are now filled with sadness! They are lonely because they lost their friend.  Maybe that guy is kind and a very good friend because they still remember him.

"But why me? Why my family?  I did not do anything wrong to her ! To that lady!" I said crying again

Rex, his teammates, and grandma tried to calm me down. Then after few minutes, Rex decide to take me and grandma to their house because it's getting dark and the police don't let us enter inside.  We need a place where we could sleep....

I'm still wondering why this have to happen to me?  My loving kuya,  my mom,  and my dad?  Why did that lady had to take them away from me?  I did not do anything wrong!  I'm not even connected by her death ! She's so heartless!  That vineetha is a demon!  She's merciless!
