Chapter 13 ( Rexy's Bestfriend)

Sofia's Pov

"Granny, Sofia,  just tell me when you need something" Rex told me and my grandma when we arrive at their house.

"Where are your parents? " I asked him

"They're out of town for their work"  He answered

"I guess I should cook dinner" grandma said

"No, granny! You're my visitor so I must be the one who will serve you" Rex uttered

"Let grandma cook Rex. She's the best when it comes to cooking"  I said a bit smiling at him.

He just nod then he took a sit at the sofa while grandma went to the kitchen. I look around the place.  Their house is not so big but it's cozy. It's windows we're decorated with flower   printed curtains. I can see paintings and pictures on their wall. Then, the paintings of their house is pink and and blue. It's also the color of their sofa and its pillows.  To make it short,  their house is like Barbie's house.  It's so cute.

I did not notice that I was already smiling.

"Why are smiling Sofia? " Rex asked laughing

I look at him then I look down feeling ashamed.

"Uhmm nothing.. " I said softly

Moments of silence passed between us.  Rex is  silently reading a book while I'm staring at him. Then,  I accidentally saw his bracelet. 

I remember the one that I gave to my kuya.  It looks like his bracelet.  I gave it during his birthday last month.  I can still remember how he reacted that time. He was so happy and he jumped like a kid then he hugged me so tight. 

All of a sudden,  me and my family's happy moments together came flooding on my mind. Those Sundays we spend on the park, those family bondings.  How each one of them supports me during those times that I feel so down.  I can still remember how my kuya motivates me,  how my mother make me feel super blessed.  And even my father,  even if he's a bit strict,  he never failed to give his unconditional love us.

Tears are silently rolling down on my cheeks,  then a sob came out from me.  Rex noticed that,  he put his book at the sofa then he sit beside me.  He gave me a tight and warm hug.

"Don't cry Sofia,  we're here for you.  Granny,  Dennis,  danny  , and even jhonny. We'll never leave you" rex said sincerely

"I just missed them rex. I don't know what will I do without them." I uttered still sobbing

Suddenly, we heard a knock from the door. Rex opened it and then danny, Dennis,  and jhonny came inside.

"How are you Sofia?" They all asked

"I'm fine now" I said trying to smile at them while wiping my tears.

"It's impossible!  You're crying. " danny said sadly

" it will be fine Sofia" Dennis said trying to cheer me up

"We're here for you. We will never leave you" Johnny said smiling at me

I smiled at them.

"Thank you so much guys!" I uttered

"Group hug! " Rex uttered loudly

"Yeah group hug! " we all agreed

We formed a circle then we gave everyone a group hug. Then after that,  danny gave me the food they bring for us. 

"It's chicken briyani" he smiled

"And a barbeque" said Johnny

"Thank you so much guys.  I'm really thankful I've met friends like you." I uttered

"We never leave each other during hard times Sofia,  and your our friend now. We do care for you." Danny said

"We also lost somebody before.  Someone whom we won't ever forget" rexy said smiling bitterly

"Remember that moment we visited the shore after practice?  That moment I cried? " Rexy asked me

"Yes.. " I answered

"It's because of our friend.  We got many memories in that shore,  specially the two of us! He's  the most kind person I know, very brilliant" Rex continued

"But vimal killed him. They had a fight. But then,  he stabbed him and had him killed near that big rock on the shore. He killed him after he paid Allan to kill his girlfriend vineetha. We don't know why vimal did it. Our friend told us that vimal and him were good friends before but he never told us why they became enemies.  Then we knew the reason lately  when grandma told us about that girl who caught both vimal and our friend's heart."  Said danny sadly

Rexy stand up then he went upstairs. When he came back,  he brought a picture frame with him. 

"This is the last picture we have " rexy said handling me the picture.

As soon as the edge of the frame touched my hand,  I felt something different. I felt nervous. My heart beats faster and faster,  it's going crazy. Something inside me wants to return the picture to Rex and never look at it.

But my urge to see their friend wins.  So slowly but surely,  I flipped the frame and...............

I froze for a moment when I discovered who is in the picture.  My brain can't process it!

I don't know how will I react! 

Suddenly,  the picture frame fall from my hand.  It created a loud crash!

I don't know what would I feel!  My emotions are now mixed!

This can't be!!!!

It's  Impossible!!!
