We slow up running as we lose the amazing amount of walkers that we attracted. I follow behind him with no choice due to the rope.
"You could have gave me a gun," I say.
"Then you could have killed me." He says still looking forward.
"If even." I go to cross my arms but remember they were tied together. We approach a abandon and ruined K-mart, the K on the building had fell onto a rusted car but the place looked reliable for a little while anyway.
"Wait here." He says getting ready to open the door. I stop him pulling on the rope.
"I'm not letting you go in there Carl,"
"You have no choice, you are the one tied up with the rope."
I let out a sigh, "Just let me come with you."
"No."
"Carl." I say looking at him in the eyes. He stares back at me as if he was looking for something.
"Fine, don't try to run either, because i'm just going to catch you."
"I won't Mr call the shots." I say walking in behind him. We slowly enter as the corpses on the floor were dry and skinless. I hear a crack on the other side of the store as I bunch into Carl a little scared.
"Wait." He says whispering. I look at him as we crouch behind a isle. We stare at each other as he ties the rope around the shelf.
"Are you serious." I say whispering angry.
"Yep.. stay here."
"With no weapons?"
"i'll be back." He gets up walking off. What if those corpse weren't discarded by walkers. What if it was other survivors like the ones I ran into.
I still work on trying to undo the rope as I hear a glass bottle being stepped on behind me.
"Carl?" I say turning my head. This reminded me of the baby store, the feeling of him being killed. I couldn't just exile him from my heart, I look through the darkness as a figure approaches and grabs me.
I struggle as a hand goes over my mouth. I bite it with all the force I could trying to rip at the flesh. The shelf breaks down as I turn swinging it with the rope still attached. I release his hand hitting him in the head with the shelf.
I try to push of the rope as he starts getting up with a hungry look in his eye. I kick him in his jaw pushing away with the weight of the shelf holding me back.
He grabs my leg as it leaves from his jaw. I kick him again pushing him back as I get up with the weight of the shelf holding me down a little. I slide it along the floor as I discover it was a metal shelf.
I'm screwed. The man gets back up as he pushes me against the solid wall that I was up against and holds my throat.
"I have been waiting for a female to pass threw here." I automatically knew what that meant.
"Carl!" I scream out as I bite his ear when he went to whisper in mine. He falls backwards as I fall on him. He had a pistol and it fell next to me.
I hold it fumbling it with my fingers as I try to get it up right with the rope still on my wrist. He gets up pushing me on the ground as I hold the gun to his face.
We struggle for a mintue before I finally pull the trigger blowing a hole clean threw his head. He drops next to me as I finally slide off the rope, the idiot made it lose. I look at what I had done.
I drop the pistol as I back up noticing the blood that was on my face.I try to clean it off but it stains my hands. I felt like every second I was becoming a cold killer. Carl's foot steps snap me out of my thought.
"What happened?" He says not noticing the untied rope on the floor. I take a deep breath as I sit against the wall with my arms resting on my knees.
"Are you okay?" He says kneeling beside me.
"Non of us are Carl," I say looking at him.
"The rope." He says looking at it now.
"I'm tired of fighting Carl,if you really want me to go to Woodbury, lets go." I say getting up giving up.
He gets up following me out of the dim store, I let him take the lead, I hope he knows were we are going.
"Carl, why are you really doing this." I say asking.
"For Judith." He says "To keep her safe."
Finally I got the truthfully answer, the answer that I wanted.
"All I wanted to know," It did kind of hurt, but family before girlfriends right? I don't even know if we are together, is it even possible to be together in this shit hole?
We walk down a path leading us through the woods, walkers were here and there, not really a threat but the sun was sinking from the sky making the sky a light orange color. We find a barn as we decide to camp out in there for the night.
