He didn't know how long he'd been in the basement. Days, weeks, months, years even. Not that time mattered to him anymore, what mattered was that he feared he'd been forgotten or abandoned.

Sangwoo hadn't been down for a long time and Yoonbum was becoming worried. Maybe Sangwoo found a new toy. Maybe he'd left Yoonbum to starve. Maybe... maybe he'd been found out by the police, and been arrested.
The thought of Sangwoo in prison made Yoonbum's heartbeat speed up, and he felt a smile creep on to his face. If he was in prison, his house would probably be checked, right? Yoonbum could shout up for help, and then someone would come down, and he'd be saved, and-

The basement door opened. Yoonbum's stomach twisted as he heard footsteps coming down the stairs.
"S-Sangwoo?" Yoonbum choked out. Sangwoo walked towards the beaten, skinny male.
"Of course it's me," he answered, crouching down. "Were you expecting someone else?" Sangwoo asked, a dangerous edge to his voice. Yoonbum's mouth dried.
"N-no," he replied, swallowing. Sangwoo reached out and grabbed Yoonbum by his chin.

Yoonbum's heartbeat seemed to stop at Sangwoo's touch, but he knew they weren't going to get romantic any time soon. He could see the crazed look in Sangwoo's eyes, the look that made him feel true fear.
"Want to play a game?" Sangwoo suddenly asked, bringing Yoonbum closer. Yoonbum opened his mouth but no words came out. Sangwoo moved his hand from Yoonbum's chin to his throat. "I asked a question. I expect an answer." Sangwoo said, smiling. The grip tightened.

Yoonbum managed a nod.
"Y-yes..." he whispered. The hand left his throat and he could breathe easily again. "What game?" Yoonbum asked nervously. Sangwoo just continued to smile.
"How are your legs? Have they healed yet?" He asked, and Yoonbum looked down at his skinny, bandaged legs.
"I... I don't know," he answered. "I haven't tried to walk."
Sangwoo grabbed Yoonbum's waist and stood up, lifting Yoonbum up above the floor as he did so.
"You can try now," he said, before placing Yoonbum on the floor.

Pain shot through Yoonbum's legs and hips, but it wasn't the worst thing in the world. He took one step forward and felt another jolt of pain. Yoonbum took a deep breath and took another step, and another, and another until he found himself adjusting to the pain.
"See? You can walk," Sangwoo praised. Yoonbum smiled nervously.
"What game did you want to play?" Yoonbum asked. Sangwoo started to walk over to the stairs. Yoonbum watched in despair.

Was he just going to leave him down here? Was this the game; to come down here and raise his hopes before just leaving him?

"Follow me, okay?" Sangwoo called. Yoonbum tried to process what he'd said.
"I... you want me to go up with y-you?" Yoonbum asked, bewildered. Sangwoo turned around, annoyed.
"Did you not hear me?" He asked, turning around. "I told you to follow me."
Before he knew what was happening, Yoonbum found himself thrown to the floor and the air was knocked out of him.
"Sangwoo..." he croaked. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry..."

Sangwoo sighed.
"Get up. Actually follow me this time, okay?" He told the skinny male on the floor. Yoonbum nodded. Sangwoo started walking again and Yoonbum got to his feet and staggered after his kidnapper.

When they were out of the basement, Sangwoo took Yoonbum's hand.
"There's someone upstairs to play the game with," explained Sangwoo. Yoonbum nodded, before realising; to go upstairs he'd have to cross the line.
"I'm going up?" Yoonbum asked and Sangwoo nodded like it was obvious. "I... can't. You said I can't cross the line."

Sangwoo stared, before laughing.
"I'm giving you permission, Bum. And if you try to run, I'll just break your wrist," he said, before pulling Yoonbum close, "so don't even think about it."

"No way! Are you crazy?!" The woman yelled, almost in tears. "Let me go! I won't tell anyone what you're doing!"
Sangwoo ignored her pleas and looked over at Yoonbum.
"So, you ready to play?" He asked. Yoonbum was definitely not ready, he would never be ready, but he nodded because he knew he'd probably get hit if he didn't.
