Fixed in Time (Doctor Who Fanfiction)

Prologue

"DOCTOR!" I yelled, looking around desperately.

I had to find him and then I had to get back to the TARDIS before they found me.

I'd known this was a bad idea but I just had to listen to that stupid man, didn't I? Ever since we were kids he'd been dragging me into trouble and now he'd done it again.

So there I was, standing in the middle of a dark forest on an unfamiliar planet, with the Doctor out of sight, and monsters stalking me. There was a rumble of thunder overhead and I instantly glanced up at the sky, only to find it obscured by looming branches.

Suddenly I heard a rustle somewhere behind me. I spun around and, at the sight of glowing red eyes, fled for my life.

"SUSAN!" I could hear him calling me from somewhere.

All I wanted was to get back to him and to get away from this place but no, instead I was being chased in the exact opposite direction.

My foot hit a root and I hit the ground hard, causing a stinging pain in my ankle. I looked down to find that it was twisted. Brilliant. I struggled to rise, but my ankle felt like it was on fire and I fell again. I let out a sob. Why on Earth had I let the Doctor take me away from my comfortable life to this horrible place?

An explosion sounded about a hundred metres to my right, and I heard a mechanical whir as some kind of moving machination came in my direction.

I turned my head to see the horrid machine, tall and menacing as it turned its eyestalk to face me. The two lights on its head glowed to life as it said the worst thing possible.

"EXTERMINATE!"

Author's note: I decided I liked writing doctor who books so here's another one. It's different to the other in that it incorporates ideas from all of Doctor Who, not just the new version from 2005 onwards (I'll be explaining everything though, so don't not read it just because it involves the Classics). My character gets to meet all the Doctor's so far (not Hurt and maybe not Capaldi though I'm not sure), and before anyone asks, Susan is not the same person as the Doctor's granddaughter. The reason for her name will be explained in later chapters.

Also, I'm doing something sort of new and putting pictures in each chapter now. This one is Susan, basically.
