Let's just say you guys are around 20 years old in this one-shot~
"Lord Kazekage? Are you sure you aren't overworking yourself? It's getting late.." You hesitantly asked the young Kazekage. He's been working non-stop all day without a break.
Gaara sighed and looked up at you. "(Y/N), please call me Gaara. You're my girlfriend, you know" He had a small smile plastered on his face when he said the word 'girlfriend'.
"And I'm not overworking myself. I'm supposed to work this hard as the Kazekage." He stated.
You frowned and walked around his desk so that you were standing behind him.
Your hands slowly crawled up to his tense shoulders and you massaged them slowly.
He leaned into your touch and closed his eyes. "It's very late, Gaara. Let's go home" You said softly. Gaara snapped out of his relaxed state and continued his work again.
You bit your lip. "Gaara...This is not good for your health. We can finish this paperwork tomorrow. Alright?" Gaara ignored you and kept working.
You lowered your head next to his ear and whispered "I made your favorite food~ It's waiting for you at home" You giggled when Gaara's eye twitched. He lifted up his head and looked at you. "(Y/N), princess, I really need to finish this. You can go home without me. You need your sleep." He leaned in for a kiss but you backed out. Gaara was confused until he saw the sad look on your face.
"(Y/N)?" You stood back up straight and pouted.
"I have barely seen you all week. You come home late and leave early for work. You lock yourself up in your office all day and I barely even get the chance to talk to you. I miss you, you know?"
Your voice wavered and was quiet.
Gaara's eyes widened and he instantly felt guilty for neglecting you. He grabbed your hand and placed soft kisses on your knuckles. "I didn't know you felt like this. I'm sorry, princess.." He didn't dare to look up at you, instead he pulled you into his lap and cuddled you. A soft smile played on your lips.
"Will you come home then?" You asked. Gaara sighed and chuckled softly. "Will that make you happy?" He asked in return.
You nodded your head vigorously. "Yes!" You answered very excited. He sighed and stood up still holding you.
"Let's go home, (Y/N).." He smiled and gave you a soft kiss on your lips. You wrapped your arms around him and kissed him back.
He grabbed your hand and walked home with you.
