The Perfect Party.

It was 7:00 and David Rossi's cooking party was already getting started. Everyone was starting to file in and Rossi's house illuminated with joy. First came Morgan and Prentiss, smiling, Morgan looking down at her sparkling brown eyes chuckling while her smile lit up when she was telling a corny joke. Then came Reid, Garcia, and JJ who had riden over together, then eventually, Hotch, his wife Haley, and Jack.
"Now everyone", Rossi announced woth a glint in his eye, "Watch the Master do his magic." He spun around and winked. Everyone was laughing and J.J rolled her eyes.
"When do we get to drink the wine?" she questioned with excitement. She didn't get to party much, work took up almost all of her spare time.
"Ok, you can start now", Rossi reconciled, and everyone cheered.

4 HOURS LATER, 11:00
Reid was starting to get very tired, so he broke away from the group and sat on the hammock in Rossi's backyard. The moon was so full and illuminescent that evening and the stars sprinkled. Spencer Reid had always loved the
Nightime scenery. Snapped out of his dazed reverie, he heard loud laughing and the clunking of footsteps tripping through the open door to the backyard. It was J.J, but the tipsy version of J.J.
She also looked dazed and happy, like a child in a big colorful carnival. Her big blue eyes relaxed when she saw Reid.
"Oh, Hi Spencey." She laughed out and tumbled over to him and she fell onto his lap. Her laughter was contagious. Soon enough Reid was smiling and laughing too. He had never seen this side of J.J before. He then gently took her of his lap and set her by his side.
"how are you, Jennifer?" he asked formally. He felt uncomfortable suddenly, so his words felt stifled.
J.J's face turned serious, but still a happy aura clouding her.
" I need to say something Spencer," She said.
Spencer gulped. "Yeah, JJ?"
"I think you're the smartest and most talented agent in the BAU, dont tell Hotch of course. And you know what, I cant seem to stop thinking of your big chocolate brown eyes and your kind gentle voice. Youre very pretty." She stated. She smiled and stroked his cheek. As her cool delicate fingers touched him, his heart began to race. 'What's going on?' He thought, confused. 'why am I feeling this?'. A million thought swirled through his head (even though that was nothing new for the brilliant Dr. Reid), and then JJ grabbed his hand and kissed him softly on the cheek.
He looked into her eyes and noticed how dazzling of a cerulean blue they were. He tried not to show how much was going on inside of him internally by covering it with a small hint of a smile. She then yawned.
"I'm tired, Spencey." She pulled him down with her in the hammock and everything came naturally. Spencer put his arm around her and nestled into him gently. She looked up into his face again.
"love ya, Doctor. Youre my best friend." She stated and then she fell into a state of sleep. Spencer then smiled to himself. He was so happy to have a friend like her. Then he himself settled into a happy peace with his partner in crime by his side.
