When Joe and I got off the plane she dragged me to a car. She said, "You can come home with me but let me call so they know not to send anyone." she pulled out a phone. As she talked I realized my phone is crappy compared to hers. Mine can't do many things it can call, text and that's about it. I never really thought about it. I was just happy to have one. My mom was a single mother, she worked hard to make sure I had the thing I need. I know she felt bad if I wanted something and she couldn't get it. So I never asked for anything. When other girls were out shopping I worked trying to make money and help mom and if I didn't work I was studying and trying to get good grades. I didn't realize Joe was off the phone until she said my name "Lexi?"

"Yeah?" I ask.

She says, "It's Time to go"

We get in the car and drive away. As she drives we are in silence. When we pulled up I was real surprised. The house (if you could even call it a house) was big, bigger than any house I've ever seen. It looked like something you would see in a movie or read in a book. Joe stops the car and says "welcome to your new home!" she is smiling. I smile back and get out we open the door first thing I notice is the pictures all along the wall. There are a bunch of them. I then see a woman come in view.

"You must be Lexi!" she comes and hugs me. I don't like being touched by people I don't know because of what He did to me.

"Yeah... I'm Lexi" I say trying to sound nice.

"You're so big! Last time I saw you were just a baby!" she says letting go of me looking in my eyes. "Manual come here!!" I hear thumping and a young boy comes out. I'm surprised to see a little black boy. I don't show it on my face, though. I've gotten good at not hiding my emotions. Then I remember that some of the kids are adopted.

"JOE YOUR BACK!" He yells

"Yeah, little dude." She says pulling him into a hug.

The hug a bit and when they pull apart he looks at me. "Are you Lexi?"

"Yeah," I say.

"Well nice to meet you." He gives me his hand, I take it and shake hands with him. "Its only me and mom here now. Everyone else left. But I can show you around."

"Um... ok." And with that he grabs my hand and tries to drag me but can't so I follow. He leads me to each room explaining what that are. He tells me where everybody sleeps and where I'd be staying. As he showed me around I couldn't help but realize how kind he is. My room was bigger than any room I ever had. It had teal walls and nice carpet. There was two windows looking out at the backyard. The bed was queen sized.

"You like it?" Manual asks. I shake my head yes. I then hear some loud voices coming from downstairs. I don't know how I could hear the voices from two floors away but I did. "Sounds like Ryker, Ryder, and Dylan are back. You wanna meet them?"

"Sure, why not." I don't really want to meet, I don't like meeting a lot of people but I have to if I'm going yo live here.

"Follow me" I follow him and when we get down the stairs I see three guys. Two of them look a lot alike. The two boys who I guessed were Joe's triplets, had the same dark brown hair she had. Their eyes were brown too. They looked almost exactly the same but one had a blonde streak though his hair. He probably died it just so people could tell them apart. The other boy had dirty blonde hair and brown eyes. "Lexi, these are my brothers. Ryker," the boy with the blonde streak reached his hand out to me. "and Ryder," he nodded to me. "last there is Dylan. I think he is the same age as you." he gave me a smile.

"How are you, Lexi?" Ryker asked.

"Fine."

"That's good," Ryker says.
