"Right this way, Miss Necros," the secretary said. "I've heard so much about your heroism at Nix Terra. It truly is admirable."

"I was sent there to guard the vaults, and I failed at doing my job. There is nothing admirable about that. The fall of Niagara was all thanks to Corey." Lavender gently slapped Corey's back.

"I don't want credit for that..." Corey admitted. He cast a glance back at the rest of their unit, who were being led down various hallways.

They had opted to split up in order to cover more ground. The unit deputy was taking two unit members to meet the heads of the judicial system and their staff since the mole was suspected to be in their ranks. Perhaps they could dig up much-needed information on each member of the Spes Novis Court.

Three unit members departed to the databases in order to get started with the investigation and research. Their primary goal was to compare data and maps to find the exact location of the Agents' Erie Base.

Lavender, Corey, and the interrogator had to interview some suspects and informants in regards to the mole situation. Once they finished they could meet up with the other two groups back at the databases to compound information.

The secretary interrupted Lavender's thoughts, "Here, Miss Necros, Mister Corey..."

"Gesly," Corey supplied, seeing the secretary stumble over his name since they had not formally introduced themselves. "And this is Veda Fable." He gestured to the interrogator.

"Well, Miss Lavender Necros, Mister Corey Gesly, Miss Veda Fable, the holding chamber is in here."

"Why are they here instead of in the Spes Novis police station?" Lavender asked.

Veda responded for the secretary, "The unit chief had them moved for easier access. We won't have to leave the central pillar to gather information."

The secretary held the door open for them as they entered the private chamber. It looked just like a police station with desks and glass walls viewing interrogation rooms. The cells were likely down the hall.

"This is where we hold criminals whose trials are being held at the upper courts," the secretary informed, leading them past the desk ladies. "Your conversations with your suspects and informants will be recorded and confidential, only your unit and the United Mage Republic Units on the case will be allowed to view the footage. I hope you find the information you're looking for."

"We will," Veda Fable assured her. "I am very good at getting information."

The secretary smiled and opened the door to the interrogation chamber. "The floor is all yours then, Miss Fable."

Veda Fable thanked the secretary and closed the door once Lavender and Corey were inside. The room was standard for interrogation: an outer room for observation and an inner room for the actual conversation and interrogation. There were several other people in the room, likely figures of authority working on the case as well.

Lavender watched as Veda Fable went through the formalities and introductions with the people in the room. It all went over Lavender's head. She saw herself as more of a field agent and researcher, rather than a communications liaison who dealt with internal affairs.

From what Lavender picked up, there were a few members of the judicial branch here, both lawyers and judges, some police officers, agents from different units of the UMR, and a few others. Most of the people sat in chairs, viewing the interrogation. One man took control of a monitor, which appeared to have film of the room in front of them. There was no one in there, though. Whoever was about to be interrogated or interviewed was nowhere to be seen.
