Even though Slender is younger than Offender, he is heir to the mansion because of a mistake Offender made a long time ago. This mistake? He fell in love with a human, and way back when it was illegal in the family. At the age of 17 the Slender family found out. But by then, it was too late. The reason there was a rule for that kind of thing was... that it's impossible for a member of their family to ever make love (sex) to a human because the human would die. Offender broke this rule, and his family's trust. And tadaa! That's how he kills. To remind him of his first time with the girl he only ever truly loved.
(This is a headcannon I made and kind of a backstory for Offender lol.)
