day 6: role model

the smollest of smol beans, Joshua William Dun.

not only has his music kept me alive on literally a daily basis, but he always inspires me to be creative and not care what other people think. when I see Josh it makes me so happy because you can tell this is a kid who doesn't care if he stands out in a crowd. his bright colored hair and crazy awesome tattoo sleeve make it impossible for him to blend in and I think that's so cool. the fact that he doesn't try to fit in, he just tries to be purely himself is something I aspire to do too.

ALSO, CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW MUCH HE CARES ABOUT US. there are so many examples all over the internet of people dming Josh because they needed help with anxiety and he always gives literally the best advice and even says he will pray for them. I mean his band is saving lives on the daily and here he is making sure that we are all okay and checking up on us. the way he defeats his anxiety every time he performs is something that means a lot to me too. I love to sing and play piano and ukulele, but a lot of times my anxiety will keep me from performing. Josh is such an inspiration to not let the scary things stop me from doing what I love.
