Demi's POV

It was 8:41. I had just gotten out of the shower. Damn it! It was getting really late. I wrapped a towel around my hair and my body so I could walk out of the bathroom. Maria Deree came up behind me and pushed me into the room.

"Mom, what are you-----"

"Shh, shh. The twins don't know I went shopping today! Anyways, I know you're going to a party but I don't want you going to the party with something that's already in your closet."

I looked at her with an excited look.

"I want you to wear this!" She said as she pulled out a beautiful silver dress. (see picture on the side)

I gasped, "Oh my god. It's gorgeous, I love it!" I said as I hugged her.

Maria Deree's POV

I wanted my daughter to be happy. She's not technically someone that ripped my vagina open, but I'll always love her as one of my own. I never had kids. I never married anyone. I had ambitions to help children all over but unfortunately, I couldn't. That really doesn't matter anymore because I know I'm making a difference in these children's lives. Damian might not love me, but I wouldn't blame him. I'll never be his biological mother and he will never consider me worthy in his life. I'll always love him because you don't hurt someone you love. I just want to make him happy.

Demi's POV

I hugged Maria Deree and then she walked out of the room with a smile on her face.

In 40 minutes, I had done my hair and my make up. I didn't want to look too flashy so I did my make up natural. I looked good, I said as I winked at myself. What am I doing? I put on the silver dress and stared at myself in the mirror. I walked out of the bathroom and I saw Omarion and Damian sitting on the old sofa. "Let's go! We're going to be late," Damian said as he pushed me out the door. "What time is it?" I asked. Omarion pulled out his phone, "It's 9:40, YO! We gotta go!" He exclaimed as we started running.

"You'll never make it on time!" We heard a voice say.

It was our little brother, Aaron. "Take a cab!" He said as he threw yellow keys at Omarion. "What the fuck?" Damian said. Aaron signaled for us to follow him. He took us to an alley where a yellow taxi cab was parked in the back. "Go!" He said. All of us ran towards the car. Omarion opened all the doors and hopped inside.

All of a sudden, an old Hispanic man started banging on the windows. "Get out of my car!" He said through the window's glass. I started screaming, "Turn on the damn car!" I said. "Run!" We heard Aaron say as he ran away.

"TURN IT ON!"

The car turned on and speeded out of the alley. We saw the old man running behind us in his briefs and his wife beater, "Come back here, you little brats!" He said. He started cursing his Spanish.

Voy a venir a por ti, mocosos!

"What did he say?" Omarion asked me.

"He's gonna come after us!" I shouted nervously. All of a sudden, we heard sirens behind us.

"Shit!" Damian said. "How do we lose them?" He asked Omarion.

"Everybody hold on to your seats!" Omarion smirked.
