Damian's POV

I drove as fast as I could to Chloe's house. Demi had messaged it to me the day they traveled for Chloe's. I didn't care, but now I did. Most of my tears were on my lap. I wanted to save someone for once, I really did.

I finally arrived to Chloe's house to find Ronnie, Chloe, and Omarion pacing up and down the driveway. There was no car in the driveway.

That's odd, I thought. I stepped out of the car to find them all crying just like me.

"Demi's gone!" Ronnie cried.

"They killed her!" Omarion said falling to the ground.

"What?" I asked confusingly.

"Why us, Lord?" Chloe said looking at the sky.

Why do they think Demi is dead?

"Lord, all she wanted was to go grocery shopping! Why her?" Chloe cried.

"Why do you think she's dead?" I asked, about to cry once again.

"An older man called me saying they killed her basically!" Ronnie cried.

"Guys!" I shouted.

They all looked at me with concern.  "Demi isn't dead?" Ronnie said with enlightenment.

"No, she isn't!" we heard someone call out from behind.

It was Demi. Everybody attacked her in a group hug. She was smiling, "Why did you all think I was dead?" she asked with a shocked expression. "The man called me again," Ronnie began, "he said that I should be worried about you but you're clearly okay!" Ronnie smiled.

"Guys, I have to tell you something. It's important," I cried out.

"What?" Demi said cheerfully.

"Have you watched the news lately?" I began to look down.

"No?" they all said.

I pulled out my phone and opened the CBN news.

It was a video.

Maria Deree was found dead this morning in Central Park. The person who found her body was Elena Torres. She says, "I was going on my daily jog when all of a sudden, I tripped over a snow bank. I looked under it and I found her body. I freaked out, I called 9-1-1 but it was too late," Who are the people who caused this terrible tragedy? If you any tips, please call the number below.

"Dead?" her eyes widened.

I nodded.

"Why didn't you do anything about it?" Demi sobbed.

"I couldn't! I was trapped in the hospital. The nurses took my phone so I wouldn't stress out!" I said through my teeth.

"Whatever, where is she?" Demi sobbed.

"She's in the morgue in Manhattan," I looked down.

"I have to see her," Omarion said.

"Well, we're going right now. I just know that they killed her," I said sadly.

"Let's go," Demi said.

Demi's POV

I couldn't believe what was happening. As we were walking towards the bus stop, I felt the tears burn my eyes. The only person I could call my mother was dead. Dead. They just took her away from me like that. They took the chance of her ever being proud of what I have finally become in life. I put on my headphones and started listening to Look What You've Done by Drake.
