"Hey, watch it!"
"You watch it!"
Tut, people these days. They shout in your face when they're the ones that walk into you.
As i turn onto the street where I work, I control my rising temper and immediately see my best friend, Sasha, stood outside.
"Hey, Sash!"
Her head snaps towards my direction and a big grin spreads across her face. She sets off sprinting towards me screaming.
"Yo Biach!"
I laugh as I hug her tightly. Sasha has been my best friend since I started this job 4 years ago, We met because of this job.
"Are you ready to start our amazing, fun job, my lady?"
I laugh at her sarcasm and link my arm in hers.
"Of course I am, kind sir".
We skip towards the end of the street and enter the old run down library. We're greeted by Elizabeth, a little old lady who runs the library, who gives us our list of things to do for the day.
~~
"Hey babe, do me a favour and go get us some lunch yeah? I gotta finish stacking."
I sigh in relief. We've been here for three and half hours and we've only had one customer; a guy who saw Sasha in the window and came in to get her number. In which she gladly gave to him.
"Of course, hun."
I walk quickly out of the library and set my mind on trying to find some cheap food. As I'm walking, I take in my surroundings. An old woman crossing the road wearing a long black cloak. Mysterious and very creepy looking when seeing her from the back. Her cloak was worn out and had various holes in it. A small group of young lads all dressed in black. Everyone looking suspicious as well. I observe all the different types of people as I walk and soon I'm in my own world.
After walking a while. I realized I had no idea where I was. I can't even recognise anything. What the hell is this place? Normally, most street lights are broken. But here, bright lights lit up the streets. And shit. These building are massive. So tall. Where the fuck am I? It wasn't like the old looking buildings where I live. I see one building in the corner of my eye. It must be the biggest one here! I slowly walk over to it and look up. My head quickly falls back down. Okay, so I'm not good with heights. It literally looks like it's about to fall on me. I squint my eyes at the big letters resting above the door. My eyes aren't the best but I think I can just about make out what it says. Ryan's...L, no... Enterprise? Okay. That sounds fancy. Tempted to see what the big building is for, I set out towards the front doors. Can't hurt to look, right?
I push open the heavy, glass door and slip through. Wow. This place is nice. The floor is all black tile and shiny and almost every object and furniture was white or glass. The room is well lit because of the windows on every wall. It's so open-spaced. In the corner, there's a gold elevator. And th-
"Excuse me? Can I help you?"
I stop spinning and look up slightly to see a blonde-haired woman. Her hair wrapped up in a tight bun. Her figure showing through her black skirt and matching suit jacket.
"No, thank you. I'm just looking round."
I start to walk away but quickly stop when I saw she's following me. I looked in her direction with a confused look.
She looks me up and down and raises one of her perfectly shaped eyebrows. I look down at myself also. My plain, worn out blue jeans and black t-shirt looks ok. Is it because I'm not dressed like her? I understand I'm not dressed like she is but does that give her a right to give me judging looks? At least right in my face? I think not.
