Jesse's POV
A couple days after Becca told me what color her dress was, I had to go out and rent a suit. Yes, rent.
After I got it, I called her. I always bothered her about the dress, wanting to see it since she told me the color. But, she wanted to make me wait.
"Hello?" She answered.
"Hey, so I have the suit and everything, just waiting to see your dress."
"Well, you'll just have to wait." She teased. She knew exactly what she was doing, but I could imagine what the dress looked like while she was taking it off.

Becca's POV
It was prom night already and I had a few hours to get ready. I started by taking a shower, drying my hair, then curling it.
That had already taken three hours of my time. I did my makeup and put my silver necklace on before the dress. It still looked good. I slipped on my sneakers and headed out.
Jesse claimed he would just ride with Badger and Pete and he would see me when I got there. So I went ahead and left on time. I had my keys in one hand and my heels in the other.
---
I parked beside Badgers' car and slipped off my sneakers and slipped on my heels (which were incredibly hard to walk in). I got out and walked inside.
I went to the gym where it was being held and saw crowds of people. I began looking around for one of the guys and my vision got blurry, probably because of the crippling social anxiety. I was okay at not-huge parties, but prom was a different story. My breathing got heavier and I continued walking slowly, looking around before I spotted Jesse and Badger. But by the time I found him, he had already found me. His eyes widened and his jaw dropped before he smiled widely.
I began walking over to them and Jesse started walking too. I met him halfway and hugged him. He handed me a plastic box with a corsage.
"Aw," I cooed before opening the box and sliding it on.
"You look..." he trailed off.
"You don't look bad yourself," I smiled widely. Pete was walking around with a camera taking everyone's pictures, which I realized when he took ours.
---
We ended up leaving early and all going to the after party at a friend's place.
Before I got out of the car with Jesse, I changed into sneakers. We all four went in and I grabbed something to drink.
"Damn, you look good," I heard as I felt someone grab my waist. I turned around to see Josh and I pushed him away harshly.
"Fuck off," I spat.
"Hey, that's fine." He walked away. I grabbed a plastic cup filled with water from the table and started drinking it, walking onto the porch since the house was so crowded. After a few minutes of recuperating, I felt my head spinning as I grabbed onto the railing. It was pure water...
I sat on the porch and eventually, Pete came outside. "Hey, are you okay?" I shook my head slowly. "What's wrong?"
"I- I drank water from the table and I think someone roofied me," I mumbled. He went back inside and got Jesse and I got in the passenger seat as Jesse drove to his place.
"Do you want to crash here or go home?" He asked.
"Here," I answered. He nodded and helped me inside. Luckily, his parents were asleep, so I took my shoes off and carried them so I wouldn't make as much noise. "Can I uh, get some water? Not roofied?"
"Yeah," he nodded, going to the cabinet and grabbing a glass before pouring water from the faucet. He walked over and handed it to me.
"Thank you," I mumbled, sipping the water to try and wear the effects off, and luckily, it worked. My head stopped pounding and the dizziness subsided slightly. I was tired but definitely coherent.
We went up to his room and I texted Skylar's phone. I'm going to stay at Jesse's tonight- not feeling well. See you in the morning.
I sat my phone down on the nightstand. Jesse pulled a shirt out of his chest of drawers and handed it to me. "Thanks," I smiled weakly. "Could you unzip me?" I asked, turning my back to him. I felt him slowly pull at the zipper until it reached the bottom of my back. He grabbed my waist gently before kissing my shoulder.
I turned around to face him, pulling him in for a kiss. Things never slowed down or sped up. Everything felt steady. I began to undo his undershirt and slid it off slowly. I put my hands on his shoulders and they just stayed there.
"Wait," he pulled away. "I- I don't wanna hurt you,"
I smiled weakly. "Jess, you can't hurt me,"
"You're sure? Like one hundred percent." He looked down at me.
"I'm sure."
