- Fonzie's pov
My alarm went off. This loud, default iPhone sound is what woke me up at 7am. Yesterday just as we were walking out of the doors at the Home and Away space and I really wanted to get to know Chris that little bit more so I had invited him over today. We exchanged numbers and I texted him I am free from 10 A.M today. So before he comes over I have to make sure I do everything that needs to be done so that the time I have with Chris will be chilled. So I thought to myself that I would get up and moving. Cleaning the fish tank was a task that I didn't hate but only liked to do it to an extent. It had to be done regularly because of all the salt that gets piled up and I was also feeding Nemo, Squishy and Dory so I may as well clean the tank whilst being there. Cleaning the tank didn't take long so I almost instantly got to tidying my room so it looked nice and uncluttered which it hardly does but I still wanted it to look nice. I still have an hour to spare, I thought to myself as I sat down on the end of my bed. Using any spare time I get I would usually spend it editing my new video so I am going to do that. All of a sudden I jump at the sound of the doorbell. Editing takes time and I always end up zoned out to focus on the video for the Fonzie Fam so as soon as I heard that doorbell I shut my laptop and jumped up off the bed remembering to grab my vlog camera as I race to get the door. As you can probably tell I am really excited about today!
"Hey bruvvv!" I said with open arms for a hug which he did return. I invited him in and we chilled in my room. Our conversations were the best. Its like talking to someone you have know for your whole live but really we have only known each other for like three days and to be honest they have been the best three days ever. I have been vlogging bits and pieces of our morning but totally forgot to tell Chris how I am a youtuber, "I'm a Youtuber by the way. Just thought I'd let you know in case you didn't want to be in the vlog" I said out of context. Chris grinned "Nah, it's fine bruv. I was just a little confused but now it all makes sense. I don't mind being in the vlogs" Chris says with almost a sign of relief that he now knows why he was being filmed.
Its 1 P.M and I really want to take Chris to get something for lunch. "Chris, did you want to go get some lunch?" I asked hoping he would say yes. He agreed as I turned my vlog camera on. "Picnic?" he had loved idea for a picnic, he suggested the idea of having a picnic by the water so we both agreed on going to the beach.
We made some sandwiches and salads with the addition of some fruit and packed them into containers and then the basket. We got there, set our blankets + food down and got changed. "I love this spot so much!" I said excitedly and Chris laughed and replied "It's a good spot for a picnic definitely!" *Hey guys, I'm with Chris right now and we are obviously at the beach having a picnic! If you have never been here and you are in the Sydney area I highly recommend coming here, there is a really nice view.* I said as I turned the camera around to admire the view I turn the camera around.
We finished up our food and decided to go snap some pictures on our way back to mine. We got some good snaps with the water and some birds in the background. We ended up getting home and just chilling and continued talking. I really like this because our conversations just flow and there is never an awkward moment. Time has slipped away from us and before you know it, Chris needed to leave because it was 6 P.M. As we walk to the front door we say our goodbyes "Hope you had a good day because I did." I say as we hugged. "I had a great time Fonz. Thanks for having me!" Chris says as we pull away. "Anytime bruv. See you at work." I say and Chris replies with a casual "For sure." as he drives away.
As I lie down and recap the day I realise we do have a lot of things quite similar and that is what makes our bond so strong. Some of the things we have in common are obviously the main facts like working on Home and Away but also we are both really creative people and from what I could tell we think the same way quite frequently. I pretty much see a lot of me in his personality and I really hope that he thinks the same way meaning that he sees a lot of him in myself. I think I have finally found a best friend that I can relate to, tell anything to and most importantly be myself around!
