When a new up and coming artist is asked to go on tour with the vamps, lots of things will happen. Some good, some bad. Find out in 'Fall' by Nicola Blaxely.
Tonight we are taking a break from touring and going to an awards show which the boys are nominated for 'Best New British Single' for their song 'Wake Up'. Rach, Char, Kacie and I are going shopping to find dresses for the awards show because we have nothing fancy enough.
We all got into my car, and I drove us down town to Westfield. We went in a few shops and there was nothing fancy enough. Soon we stumbled across a really fancy prom dress/evening dress shop in the middle of the shopping centre. We all went In and looked around, picking up a few dresses up. After about 20 minutes of looking around we met up and went into the changing rooms. The first dresses we tried on either didn't look right or didn't really suit the theme of tonight so we didn't choose them.
Eventually we found dresses that were perfect for all of us and it turned out that they weren't too expensive either. We only had about 3 hours to all get ready before we left our hotel for the awards show in London. The boys were picking us up at 4:30 and it was currently 4:20. To waste the time we took loads of selfies and put them on our instagrams and twitters before getting our bags ready and finishing our final makeup touches.
We all looked and felt so glamorous....

We got in the limo that the boys had sent for us and made our way to the show. As we pulled up the boys' limo was next to ours and they each escorted us along the red carpet. All the other got through the red car part without being stopped but all the paps and reporters were calling at Brad and I. We went over to one of the news crews to answer a few questions to be polite.
"Hello Nicola and Brad, you both look stunning this evening, how are you both?" The reporter asked.
"Thank you, and we're good" Brad answered squeezing my waist. He could tell I was so nervous. I didn't really like talking in front of cameras because I don't particularly like the sound of my own voice!
"So Nicola congratulations on being nominated for best upcoming artist, I bet you're over the moon!" The reporter stated.
"That's a surprise for me, I had no idea about that nomination, thank you so much. I'm totally buzzing now haha" I laughed.
"Oh my gosh, well congratulations Nicola!" The reporter gushed, a little embarrassed she'd let the secret out. "Well I'll leave you two to go inside and take your seats, lovely speaking to you!"
"Thank you, lovely speaking to you too!" Brad and I both replied before holding hands and walking into the ceremony.
"I can't believe I've been nominated for an award! I'm nothing special I don't understand" I turned to Brad with pure shock.
"Oh shh you, you're special to a lot of people, including me" he winked making me laugh.
"You do make me blush Bradley" I winked back at him, knowing his full name would have an effect on him.
"Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to tonight's award show, please take your seats as we are starting in five minutes" a voice boomed around the venue.
--------------------------------------------- (Skipping the majority of the show because it's boring)
"Okay so now onto the award for best upcoming artist. Here are the nominees..." Johnathon, the host announced. As the VT finished everyone was silent, waiting to hear who had won.
"And here to present the award please welcome Danny, Tom, Dougie and Harry from McFly" my teenage heart completely bursts as the heroes of my childhood walked out onto the stage. Brad looked over at me smiling, he obviously knew I was excited about them being here.
"Hiya guys, we're McFly and the winner of the best upcoming artist award is......... Nicola May"
I went into shock, tears of utter joy rolled down my cheeks as I stood up to celebrate.
"You did it babe, I'm so proud of you!" Brad shouted as he hugged me in celebration. I hugged him for a while then went to hug Char, Rach, Kacie and the boys before making my way on to the stage.
As I walked out on stage everyone was standing and applauding me and it felt magical. A once in a lifetime feeling. McFly all hugged me and congratulated me and i couldn't be more happier.
"Wow I don't really know what to say, thank you so so much to everyone who voted for me. It means the world to me. I'd like to thank my fans because without you I wouldn't be able to share my creativity with the world. Also I'd like to thank my three best friends Charlotte, Rachel and Kacie, and my family, for always being there and supporting me throughout my journey here. Thank you to everyone at Dawesville studios for helping me to record my music and for being so awesome and helpful. And last but certainly not least, I'd like to thank my incredible boyfriend Brad because without you, I honestly don't think I'd be who I am today, you've made me so more confident, happier and I'm so lucky to have someone as amazing and talented as you in my life. I love you so so much and I don't know how I'd cope without you. Thank you again to everyone, I love you all!" I finished my speech, trying not to cry with happiness.
The rest of night went so quickly, the boys picked up two awards and I couldn't be happier. Today has been one of the best days of my life, and I'll remember and cherish the memory for the rest of my life.
