5. On The Road

Nicola's POV

So far we have done 3 shows on tour and I have loved everything about touring. Today we moved into the tour busses and now I'm ten times more excited. Brad and I have been getting really close lately and I really do like him a lot. He's like my bestfriend and we've kind of been flirting too. Not that I'm complaining though!

"Hey babe, you excited for tonight, my mum, dad and Nat are coming too!" Brad came back from moving his stuff into the boys' end of the bus.

"Of course I'm excited babe, are they coming back stage after the show?" I asked a little nervous to meet his family.

"Yeah, and don't worry babe, they're gonna love you okay, I love you so they're gonna love you!" He reassured me. Wait, he just said he loved me?!

"Do you really mean that?" I asked him nervously.

"What? That I love you?"I nodded, "of course babe, you make me so so happy and I love you so much" he said putting his hands on my hips.

"Well I love you too Brad. I really do!" I said as my hands snaked round his neck.

"Well that's good because I wanted to ask you something Blaxely" He smiled grabbing my hands to hold.

"Go ahead Simpson" I replied looking at him confusingly.

"Well Nicola, you're really special to me and ever since the day we met I knew you were going to be something significant to me. And to be honest I've loved ever since the day I set eyes on you. So will you be my girlfriend Nicola-May Blaxely?" He said a little nervously.

"Of course I will Brad" I replied pulling him in for a hug. I love this boy so much. Just in that moment he pulled my in for a kiss and when our lips connected, butterflies erupted in my stomach. As we pulled away from the kiss we both were smiling uncontrollably.

"I love you Nicola-May Blaxely" Brad said kissing my cheek.

"And I love you Bradley Will Simpson" I replied hugging him once more.

Our moment was completely ruined by Tristan running onto the bus singing "WE'RE GOING ON THE TOUR BUS WOO WOO WOO" very very out of tune.

"Ooh what did I interrupt here you little love birds?" He teased us.

"Oh nothing Trissy, just asking this beautiful girl to be my girlfriend" Brad told him straight up.

"Aw omg I feel like a proud dad!" Tristan screams like a girl before pulling us both into a hug and squeezing very tightly.

"Trissy I can't breathe" I manage to get out.

"Oops sorry guess I'm just happy now, see yous later I need a shower" he said before going upstairs to the bathroom area.

"Right we need to rehearse for tonight so let's sit down before the bus moves and we both 'accidentally' fall on top of eachother" Brad jokes.

"Well that was cheeky Simpson" I laughed at his cringiness. We both sat down on the sofa and rehearsed our duet a few times. Then we tried the song that Char and I wrote and it sounded magical.

Once we were finished Brad plugged his phone into the speakers and we listened to a few songs like The Arctic Monkey's and Fall Out Boy. Soon enough we arrived in Birmingham and soundcheck was starting asap.

When soundcheck was over we only had about half an hour to spare as we arrived later to the venue. We all stayed in my dressing room and just chatted for the whole of our spare time.

The show went by really quickly and before I knew it, it was time to meet Brad's parents and sister.

"Nervous Blaxely?" Brad came up behind me and scared me.

"Hmm a little, yeah" I replied truthfully.

"Don't be they're gonna love you, I promise" he said calmingly. As if on cue there was a knock on the dressing room door. Brad opened it to reveal his family.

"My little baby, you smashed it tonight! I loved it" a bubbly woman, who I presumed was his mum, said to Brad. Then she turned around and spotted me, her eyes lit up and she ran over and hugged me.

"You must be Nicola, oh Brad has told us so much about you honey! I'm his mum Anne-Marie. It's so nice to meet you doll" she said after she finished hugging me.

"It's so lovely to meet you too, Brad talks a lot about you too" I replied, why was I so nervous to meet her, she's so lovely.

"Okay so I guess you two have already met then" Brad laughed, "but this is my girlfriend Nicola guys, Nicola this is my step dad Derek and my older sister Nat" Brad introduced me to them.

"Aw it's so lovely to meet someone who makes my little brother happy!" Nat said pulling me in for a hug.

"Ah it's lovely to meet you too Nat!" I replied hugging her back.

"You were amazing tonight Nicola. Yours and Brad's duet brought tears to all of our eyes. It was beautiful!" Derek said so happily.

We chatted for a while about the show and then Anne-Marie and Derek invited us back to their house for dinner. We both agreed because it was nice that they asked us in the first place. When we got back dinner was almost ready so we sat down at the table with Nat and Derek.

"So how long have you two known eachother then?" Nat asks us.

"Well it's been nearly 2 weeks I guess" Brad answers adding up the days.

"Aw that's so cute! I can't believe my little brother has a girlfriend" Nat teases him and ruffles his hair.

"Aww little Braddy is blushing" I join in with the teasing.

"Shh both of you, that's mean!" He shouts in fake annoyance.

"We're joking babe, calm down" I say whilst me and Nat laugh at him.

The dinner went really quickly and the food was so nice. When it was over, I helped Anne-Marie with the dishes and then Brad and I made our way back to the bus and went straight to sleep whilst the bus moved us to our next location.
