Episode Two: Pawn Shops

Nya sighs as she sets her bag on her new bed. She looks out the window to see the rest of Stiix. She smiles and opens her suitcase to put her belongings up.

When she finishes putting her things away, a knock sounds on her bedroom door. "Come in!" She calls to her visitor. Ronin walks into the room. "Don't be up to late, we start tomorrow." He says before turning around to leave. Nya stops him. "Wait, Ronin!" She calls, still wearing her ninja GI. "What is it?" He asks her, turning his head slightly. "I... I..." She stutters out before sitting on the bed in defeat. "Feeling guilty?" He asks her with a smile, coming over to sit beside her, leaving the door wide open.

She remembers when the team split.

~Two Weeks Ago~

Wu walks into the kitchen, the last to the dinner table. "It's been two years since the last time we were truly needed." He states with a thought filled expression. Kai looks up from his food first. "So what?" He asks. "Me and Wu discussed this last night, you all are free to go back to your old lives if you wish." Misako explains to them. Everyone looks shocked as all fuck. "I want you all to keep in shape though, you never know when evil rise again." Wu adds.

That next day, Jay and Nya are on a date in the park. They walk around a pond. "So, what are you going to do?" Nya asks Jay as they swing their jointed hands. "I am going back to Bolt City." Jay says. Nya looks confused. "It's where I was when Sensei found me. I wonder how my old lab is actually...." Jay trails off, thinking. Nya giggles at his cuteness. "I was hoping you'd join me. I love you Nya, and I never want to part with you!" He says in his usual hyper way. Nya smiles then frowns. "What is it?" Jay asks, starting to freak. "I-if you want to live somewhere else I'll go wherever!" Jay says frantically. She knew he would do it to. "Jay.... I... I love you, but.... Well.... I think you should just go to Bolt City. I...." She looks away. Jay frowns. "I think we should break up!" She says. Jay looks distressed. "W-what? Then why say you love me?" He asks, looking angry now. "How cruel can you get?!" He screams, tears flowing. Nya let's a couple tears fall. She hates seeing him upset like this, but she knew she needed to let him go. He needs a relationship where he feels comfortable to take charge. He was always to nervous around her. "I do love you Jay, but not in the way I use to! I love you as a friend now! You need to be with someone who will love you as much as you love her!" Nya explains to him. He just looks at her, heartbroken, and walks away.

After that, Jay took off to Bolt City the next day, and never looked at Nya, much less speak to her. He new that if he saw her, he'd break down.

~Present Day~

"I know I needed to, but the way he looked at me...." Nya says with tears falling. She leans into Ronin's chest as he rubs her back. "Some day it will all be OK. He'll have found the one & so will have you. You two will be good old friends and this will all be in the past!" Ronin says, trying to reassure her.

When she finally calms down, Ronin notices that she fell asleep. He smiles. He places her in bed and covers her up before exiting and going to his own room.

The next morning Nya walks into Ronin's pawn shop and stands at the register while he stalks shelves. A man walks in and looks around. Ronin keeps an eye on Nya the whole day, knowing she's been unstable since everything with Jay.

When nothing happens, he sighs in relief.
