November 9th
Bobbie walked down the stairs of the lobby, meeting Goodwin on the way down.
"Oh, Monroe," Goodwin stopped her, "There's a consult in the pit for ya, but we can send someone else if you're busy?"
"Sure, i'll be down in a few minutes, just need some coffee." Bobbie grinned, and kept walking, passing out Con, Hazel and Joel and offering them a smile, which Hazel reciprocated.
She walked through the lobby, and through a deserted corridor.
Or, what she thought was a deserted corridor.
Ryan.
He was leaning against the wall, sucking the face off a tall brunette.
Bobbie felt a pang of jealousy, then anger, then another of jealousy, and then a very large one of sass.
"Excuse me, your sort of clogging up a corridor." She spat.
With a noise resembling mixing an overflowing bowl of liquid and some spilling out, he withdrew his mouth from hers, and looked at her with a evil smirk and spite in his eyes.
"Oh, i didn't notice." He murmured.
"Uh, okay. Move."
Half his mouth curved upwards, making his smirk hotter than ever to her infuriation, but didn't shift from his position against the wall with the girl in his arms, who was looking extremely uncomfortable.
"Oh for god's sake just move!" She yelled.
He looked amused, "Jealous Monroe?"
"Oh, please!" She rolled her eyes, trying to think of something hurtful, "I know i'm not missing much."
She could see him chewing on his lip.
"And what are you looking at?" Bobbie snapped at the girl, who was staring at her, open-mouthed.
She quickly closed her mouth and walked away.
He let her go and didn't bother following after her, which made Bobbie oddly happy.
He raised in hands in mock-defeat and moved aside.
She had been half hoping for more of a fight.
"Thank you." She said, with as much contempt as she could muster.
Halfway down the corridor, her pager went off.
She started walking back down the corridor she had come from.
She passed Ryan heading in the same direction and sped up too walk with Hazel and Con.
"Hey."
"Hi, did you get the page?" Con said, keenly.
"Yeah."
They walked into the pit, expecting the usual mayhem, instead they were greeted by a quiet ER.
Goodwin saw them.
"Monroe, Zimmerman has the consult. I need all of you here, Monroe, there is a trauma coming in."
"Okay, peds?"
"No, Zimmerman has any peds cases needed, i just need you to take this, for now, then you can dish it out on someone else once their stable okay?"
Bobbie nodded and walked towards the exit.
She tied a trauma gown around herself and waited.
Soon enough the blaring of the sirens came into earshot.
