When we were hauled from that abandoned building I expected something a little more professional or, well cool. Instead we were left running down the streets of Manhattan, hiding around every corner. "Okay I think were safe for now" the lady said. "Who are you?" Al said "doesn't matter you won't remember anyways" she said. "Yea okay, I won't be forgetting this anytime soon".

"Their pursuing" T said, he was so quiet I almost forgot he was there. "Damn, okay where do you live?" she asked "why would I tell you that?" I asked. "Yea how do we know you ain't with the service?" she asked suspiciously. "You think we're with child services" she said as if it was the most craziest thing. "would child services blow a hole in the wall of an abandoned building just to rescue a couple of kids?" she asked. "Diana, their closing in" T warned. " Just tell me where you live, we need to get Ruby as well". My heart skipped a beat as soon as she mentioned Ruby, I couldn't let them get to her " and don't lie I can tell if you're lying" she said eyes suddenly going cold as if she wouldn't mind breaking a bone or two. It's not here it's in the Bronx" which wasn't a lie. "Then lead the way" she said " what about the girl " T said looking at Al. " Take her along for now, lover boy here doesn't want her hurt it's best not to drag him kicking and screaming". "He's not my boyfriend so don't get the wrong idea!" Al shouted, face going red. "Oh I never said that dear" she said walking off. Al scowled and we walked ahead.

Getting there was especially hard. There were guys everywhere even in every train cart. There seemed to be less and less guys as we entered into the Bronx. " Finally, home turf" Al said. "stay alert there could be more of them that we haven't spott-" I said bumping into someone. I looked up into the face of one of the boss's henchman. I tensed ready to make a run for it. " Watch where your going old man" he said walking away. " What was that about?" Al asked both of us staring after the man confused " he thought you were an old man". "Did I forget to mention that I placed an illusion spell on us" Diana said walking up behind us. "Wha?" was all I could manage. "it doesn't matter at the moment let's go".                                                                                                                                                         I had to think fast, I don't know who these people are, I can't take them to Ruby. "Just follow me" I said. We walked to Jerome, I could feel their eyes on me. Al looked at me realizing where I was taking them. We stopped outside of a small grey house. "Here we are" I said. "Are we now" Diana said taking in the house. Well, are you going to stand there all day or let us in. I walked up the porch with the rest following and unlocked the door entering the house. I led them down the hall into the living room. I would use this place just in case things got too hot and I had to lay low for a while but as far as they knew it was my home. T stopped in the middle of the room and sniffed the air. He turned to Diana and shook his head. Diana sighed "Finn, you disappoint me" she said facing her palm towards me,muttering under her breath. As soon as she muttered the last word I was lifted of my feet feeling as if I was being constricted by a snake. "What's going on? How are you doing this?" I asked barley managing to get the words out. "Where's Ruby" she asked. "What do you want with her?" I asked. She closed her palm slightly increasing the pressure "Please refrain from answering my questions with questions" she said. I looked towards the wall to my left and saw her arms shadow stretching towards me. I saw out of the corner of my eye Al  was just staring straight ahead as if in a trance not saying anything the entire time. "Al!" I shouted "what did you do to her". "One of the various mind spells, don't worry right now she's reliving a happy memory" she answered. My mind was racing with endless thoughts and questions. "What do you want?" I asked. "You know you have a bad habit of repeating the same questions" she said she said not looking in the very least interested. We've been sent to get you an Ruby, we've been tracking you for some time now" she said. "By who, why? I asked unable to stop the fear from creeping into my voice. "By the teaming department but that's not important"she said releasing me. I fell to the floor trying to return my breathing to normal. "We're going to be your new mentors"she said smiling. She walked over and bent down to eye level. "Now where is she" she said to herself gently touching the sides of my head. I felt a tingle pass through and after a minute she rose. "She's at Tinton avenue" she said to T. "How do you know that" I asked. "A mind reading spell" she answered simply. "Why didn't you just do it from the start?" I asked. "I wanted to give you a chance" she said. " and the shadow thing" I asked feeling weak. "Like I said you disappointed me, I let my anger get the best of me, I'm sorry" she said walking out the door with T following after her. "And don't worry about the girl she'll snap out of it after the memory is over she'll be safe here, now hurry or you'll be left behind" she called from outside. I ran after them questions swirling in my head with more piling up.
