Sneaking down the street was starting to get boring but if I didn't get the guy's wallet then I would have to start rationing food for a bit. I  had seen the man open his wallet multiple times and each time it looked as if it was going to split from the amount of cash inside.

He had three guards with him and if they seemed well trained the way they were always alert. Sleight of hand won't work this time, it would be impossible to get close enough.

"Having fun" said a familiar voice from behind in the alleyway . It was Al from the gang I ran "Al, have you been following me?" I asked already knowing the answer. "Oh shut it" she said. "It seems you could use my help anyways". She wasn't wrong, maybe if one of us caused a distraction the other could get close. The problem was Al would be expecting a cut and I needed the money, all of the money. "Don't worry I don't need the money" she said as if reading my thoughts. "If you're not after the money then what do you want?" I asked. "He has something I want" she said. "And what would that be?" I asked. "That ain't none of your business" she said with a slightly annoyed tone. "Fine but how are we going to get through the guards?" I asked. "Easy" she said producing a knife from a hidden spot "we slit their throats" that would be the easy way but we wouldn't get out unscathed.

The man entered a car down the street. "Damn he's getting away" I said quickly making my way to the car. We followed the car down the busy streets of Manhattan when it came to a stop in front of a large building. We waited for him to head inside but instead he headed towards an alley. "This is our chance, we can get him without and witnesses" she said running down the alley. "Al wait!" I shouted after her but she had already run off so I followed.

The man then turned a corner and Al was about to follow until I caught up and grabbed her arm. "What are you doing? Let go" she said. "Wait up a sec, what if you're spotted?" I asked. At that moment I everything goes black. Having the metallic taste of blood in my mouth I look up to see Al being held by a man in a suit and feeling my wrists being bound behind me. "Finn!" she shouted "let him go you assholes". I feel my body being lifted right before I black out.                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Waking up I felt like my head was hit with a hundred hammers. i looked around only to see darkness. "Al" I called out weakly feeling my head my split from the exertion. "Finn?" she answered. "Where are we" she asked. "I don't know" I said "where are you I can't see you?" I asked. "In a cell I think" she replied. " You don't think we were arrested do you?" she asked fear creeping into her voice. "No, those thugs weren't cops" I reassured her. At that a door opened, light illuminating the room from the outside. I was seated in the center of the room while Al was in a cell in the corner of the room. The man we were tailing and his three guards entered the room. "Hey, let us out!" Al shouted " If you don't we'll tell the cops and th-" "You won't tell the cops nothing" the boss said "Not if you're dead in a hole". "The cops won't care about a couple of street rats missing" he said smiling. "What do you want" I asked.  "I want to know who you are and who sent you?" he asked. "we were just trying to take your wallet and we don't work for anyo-. "Not you!" he shouted "her" he said pointing at Al. All eyes were on Al now with a guilty expression on her face.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           "Who sent you?" he asked again "what do you want?". "I don't work for nobody" she said staring at the floor. "Fine" he said "if you won't tell me then maybe the pain of your friend here" he said pointing at me "will encourage you to". Al just continued to stare at the floor until the man sighed. "Take him outside" he said. "Wait" she said " I don't know no name but he said that if I didn't tale that key card from you he wouldn't give me my friend back" she explained. " Wait, who does he have?" I asked. "Sally" she said with tears streaming down her face. "He has Sally". Sally had been an orphan just like us before Al found her wandering the streets of lower Manhattan, she was practically her little sister. The man just stared at her until an expression of realization appeared on his face but as quick as it appeared it was gone. It seemed like he had an idea of who would want the key card Al was speaking of. "Take em outside and after you're done get rid of the bodies" he ordered the guards." We told you what you wanted to know!" Al shouted "you can't just go back on a deal like that". " I don't remember making a deal with you, I only remember making a threat" he said turning  his back and walking out                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    One of the guards followed him out while the other two advanced on us. As the guard opened Al cell she quickly rushed at him with one her hidden blades, they probably didn't search her correctly. She stabbed him in the arm "AHHH!" he screamed "you bitch!" he said slapping her across the face with the other arm. The other guard had already grabbed me and was dragging me outside when there was an explosion from the back wall. I had to squint in order to keep any more dust from getting in my eyes. The guard appeared to be knocked out. "Come on!" a woman's voice shouted hauling me by the arm. Behind me was a huge whole where a wall used to be. The strange woman was hauling me through "Wait!" I shouted "what about Al?". She let out a huff of breath. " T! go grab her" she said before she hauled me towards the light.
