It was morning, the light shone through the windows illuminating the hide out. You walked down stairs still in your night gown. Everyone was already up and in the throne room where Esdeath held the meetings. You were late, and you knew she would be mad, but honestly you didn't care. You walked into the kitchen grabbed a glass of milk and made your way to the throne room. She sat in the throne, and all your teammates stood before her. A leg crossed over the other, and her head perched on her hand. "Y/N, why are you late?" She asked angrily. "I was sleeping, then I went to get a glass of milk." You said whilst taking a sip from your cup. She rolled her eyes as if to say this was typical of you. "Y/N, you are aware that your actions come with consequences."
"Yes I am aware of that."
"Then this will be your final warning, next time you're late you will be severely punished."
She cleared her throat and proceeded to explain today's mission. We were to head over to the forest near Night Raid's headquarters to collect some intel. Well that's what you heard, you think she said other stuff but you weren't really paying attention. "Y/N, you will go out into the field near the headquarters. Then create a diversion whilst the others infiltrate the hide out." Esdeath said and you gave her a nod.
"I will go with her. She can't fight Night Raid alone, there's too many of them." Wave said looking over to you and you gave him a small smile.
"In that case take Seryu with you." With that said we all bowed to her and went out the room. As you and Seryu were making your way out, you felt a hand on your shoulder. You turned around and it was Esdeath.
"Never come late again"
"I'm sorry, it won't happen again. I was just really tired and I barely had any sleep last night."
"Was it the nightmares?"
"Yes" You said as you looked down to your feet in embarrassment.
"Very well, I'm only sympathetic because your mum and I were close. But do that again and you will be punished."
She turned around and made her way back towards the throne. You walked out of the room, the memories of you and your parents played through your mind. It had been three years since thier passing. And you missed them dearly. They both worked in the army, your mum was a nurse and your dad a soldier. That's how they knew Esdeath, after they passed she took you in and trained you. You weren't very fond of how strict she was, but you appreciated everything she had done for you. Plus if it wasn't for her then you wouldn't have met your two best friends Wave and Seryu.
You made your way up to your room to get ready. You took off your night gown and put on a pair of black running tights and a black sports bra. You walked over to your wardrobe and pulled the box that contained your imperial arms. You opened it up to reveal your cheetah print trainers and fingerless sports gloves. You put on your shoes and you started to change. A long tail started to sprout from your lower back, and your nose started to form like that of a cat. Cat like ears popped on the top of your head, and a few spots covered your body and face. You then put on your fingerless gloves and your nails started to turn into claws. Your teeth then started to sharpen. Just when you had finished there was a knock on your bedroom door. "Hey Y/N! Are you done in there!?" Seryu shouted from the other side of the door. "Yeah I'm coming!" You said making your way to the door. As you stepped out Seryu grabbed you by the arm and started running, dragging you and Goru behind.
Lubbock's prov
Today was a very calm day. I sat on the stool behind the counter, the library was empty and quiet just how I liked it. Although I would kill for a super hot lady to walk in. I thought to myself as I admired one of the female characters in my comic book. I flicked through the pages reading each and every word as it got more and more intense. Then the lady was killed. "Such a shame she was really hot, hmmm at least now I have a new way to kill someone" I said with a smile. I looked up at the clock and it read 5pm. I grabbed my stuff locked the door and proceeded to make my way to the hide out.
When I arrived everyone was sitting at the dining table eating the food Akame had made for us. "So anything for us to do tonight?" I asked Najenda hoping she would pickup on the innuendo. "No, today seems to be our day off" I let out a deep sigh in frustration and reached into my plate to grab a peace of meat, only to find there was nothing. I turned over to look at Akame and she had gobbled the whole thing down. "Hey!" She put the giant bone down and wiped her lips with the napkin. "Sorry, I thought you had finished" she said with her usual monotone voice. Just as I was about to get up I felt a small vibration on my index finger. Everyone went silent and drew their attention to me. "What is it?" Mine asked. I pulled on the string and it came back to me covered with a little bit of blood. "Danger beast?" Tatsumi said. Leone got up from her seat and came to take a sniff. "It's human, more specifically..." She took another whiff. "Yagers"
"Lubbock! What part of the forest?" Najenda asked
"In the North"
"Mine you will attach from the rooftop. Akame, Tatsumi and Leone you take the field. And Lubbock put up as many traps as you can in the forest." We all gave her a nod and made our way out and into our positions.
