So let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Mia Monroe, I am 16, and the oldest child of my 4 other siblings. The youngest is Max, the next one is Sasha, and the second oldest is Julie. My dad left when when my mom found out she was pregnant with Julie, so I am the only one who knew him. We never mention my dad, but sometimes at night I silently wonder where he is, why he left us. But moving on.

After a year or so when the aliens came, the rebels decided to dispatch a group of people to find out more about the aliens. My mom volunteered to lead the group, but 3 years later when they came back, my mom was gone. No one would tell me if she was alive, dead, or just missing in action. I immediately became head of the family.

For years I wanted to set out and find what happened to my mom, but the only thing holding me back were my brother and sisters. I knew even if I did leave they would be taken care of, as the rebels were like a big family. But they had already lost Mom and Dad, and I couldn't leave them too.

Then one night, as everyone was preparing to hit the hay, we all heard a voice. It was everywhere coming from no area, echoing off the walls, to be forever in our heads. It said:

We are coming. We don't know where you are, but we will find you. you can run, but you can't hide. We are coming.

After that, I just needed to know where my mom was. So I secretly started planning my journey. The only person who knew was Amaya. After the group returned without my mom, Amaya took care of us. She was a middle aged African woman, with the kindest soul yet the toughest one here-in my opinion. She was like our second mom. I had told her my plans soon after the message, and she approved. She said she would take care of my siblings, I didn't even need to ask.

Anyways I plan to start my journey soon. Bye.
