A/N Hey guys! So I know it's been forever, and I'll explain why at the end of this chapter, but for know, go ahead and read, and I hope you enjoy!
".....She doesn't seem like a threat, but she could possibly be an alien. I haven't checked her eyes....I better check now, before she wakes up..."
I felt two fingers push down on my eyelids, slowly pushing them up. I shoved the person's hand away, got to a sitting position, and opened my eyes.
The sight that met my eyes was a small, petite girl. The first thing I checked was her eyes. They weren't golden. I started to take in her appearance. She had chocolate colored skin, shoulder length hair, light brown eyes, and was wearing what seemed to be a worn out, torn school uniform. She was also holding a recorder. Like a diary recorder.
"Wha- Who are you, why are you here?" I bombarded the petite girl with questions, my eyes still drowsy.
" Dude, chill. By the way, I'm Monica."
I was still wary of this girl, Monica, but the way she talked and stood, it seemed like she was okay. I took a deep breath and...
"My names Mia."
"Hey! Cool! We both start with M's!"
"Okayyy.....?" It took me a split second before I realized that if this girl, Monica, or whatever, was actually in cahoots with the strange aliens, I was not in a good spot.
I leaped to my feet and pulled out a small dagger I had kept in my boot.
"Move it." I snarled, jerking my head towards a corner. I could see the panic grow in Monica's brown eyes as they began to water.
"Oh. Um, yeah ok. I don't mean any harm, please believe me. We're the only two sane people around here for miles. Please." She pleaded.
My aggressiveness towards the girl was faltering. Spending a huge chunk of your life mothering your younger siblings, and you're bound to develop a soft spot for children.
"Oh, alright," I sighed, and let Monica have a seat on the moth bitten couch. I stuck my weapon back into it's original hiding place and squatted down in front of her.
"Ok, spill your story."
Ok guys! I know it's probably been over a year since I've updated anything, but I was dealing with some mental health issues and lost interest in a lot of things, writing included. I'm not fully better, but I have decided to start writing again, and I might be a little rusty, but it would mean so much if you could drop a comment and vote!
Thank you lovelies!
