*Chapter 3*
The next day was awkward. However, as it went by, it started to be easier. Macy didn't blush every time Joey said or did anything, not even during the sex scenes. She could now focus on what she had come here to do and that was to draw. That night with Joey was hard for her to cease thinking. So many things she wanted to say to him, so many emotions, but resolved not to.
It was late one night when Joey and Macy decided to sit and talk in the 1980's Dodge truck; which was very popular on the show. Macy teased Joey that he lived in his character's world way too much, for she always sighted him in the same known clothing; blue jeans, boots and flannel. They both laughed, it was nice to have a relaxed night for a change. That night so much was discovered, so much was revealed, so many comfortable conversations between them. Sometimes the facial expressions told what words could not.
Macy was about to spring out of the truck, but before she was completely out Joey said.
"No! I don't want you to go!"
"Joey, I must. I need to."
As the morning took place, Macy took artist notes, she would every now and then glimpsed at the scene in action that displayed. The episode was about a girl, who refused the news that was given to her. It dealt with something she was taught to be impossible. The girl screamed her lungs out, which made chill bumps rise on Macy's skin. 'If only I could be a part of the show,' thought Macy and went back to drawing.
At last a long day had ended, Macy and the rest were exhausted. She seated herself at a table with her hands folded together, covering her face. Her sight was upon the wooden door that was to her left.
Suddenly, there was thumping and creaking on the floor, as someone paced past her. As the person did, Macy squinted and saw a black shirt of some kind. She didn't have a clue of who it was. Until, there was a lovely scent that lingered from just where this person walked by. Macy fortuitously breathed in the captivating fragrance.
"What?" Joey asked.
Macy froze and urgently cast up, for she didn't realize her deed was vociferous, or that she even did it.
"Er....Um...Uh...I... You smell so good!" Macy stuttered in perplexity. In a shy attempt to cover her mouth. Joey chuckled, followed by a smile at her and left.
Later on that night, as Macy dreamed, it showed Joey in glasses. She looked around, it seemed that she was at some kind of photo shoot.
'I thought he had Lasik surgery' Macy thought.
Joey seated himself beside her. 'Was this her dream? It sure didn't resemble one. It felt as if she was only here for the ride.
A woman came towards her and asked Macy if she knew her. Macy's reply was, "I don't think so."
The woman carried on with a delightful conservation. But when Macy went to exchange her contact information from her phone, she couldn't. The phone she held was completely different. Macy noticed that this cell phone's screen was much wider, where hers was smaller. 'Was this Joey's?' She questioned, befuddled.
After this, Macy was in search of some item in an unknown humongous vehicle. Behind a blurry thick object, in a dashed away gesture, long forgotten was her old phone. She picked it up and stared on the left side, there was still the crack, but as she pushed in the "on" button; the light flashed on, indicating it still works.
"How did this happen?" Macy probed.
"Don't you remember?" Joey challenged, which startled her and he continued with. "It got cracked when...-"
Macy abruptly woke up. "Damn it! I guess I will never know what that was about!"
She once again went to sleep and back in dreamland. Macy could hear mumbling chatter among others. The only thing she could make out was, "Don't trust him!"
Macy walked on and away from this nonsense, for she now figured out they were talking about Joey. This made her furious, for they didn't know him like she did. Suddenly, an aqua green glow surrounded her and after it disappeared Macy was in a tan-like warrior outfit.
''What the?'' Macy spoke out loud and her eyes widened at her attire. She distinguished her long and sharp fingernails that were the same color as the glow.
Joey stood and witnessed her transformation, but didn't utter a word. It turned out that her kids were missing and Joey helped her find them. He would guide and encourage her when all her hopes were gone.
In advance, her kids were safe now. Macy stepped outside on the porch, and noted it was quiet. Darkness had fallen and as she moved away from and down the porch steps, the porch light came on. When she made it to the bottom step she asked softly, but resounded.
"Joey?!"
"Hmm?"
"The town people kept mentioning how I shouldn't trust you." Macy paused and studied Joey, he was waiting on her to finish.
She proceeded on. "Because of me, and me being this way." Macy glanced down at her new type of clothing. "That...This is the reason for us not being together or can't be together. We have nothing in common at all!"
"Oh? Really?!' Joey responded and now they faced one another. Macy was shocked by what she saw next. Joey's once hazel color eyes were replaced with solid glossary black ones.
He rapidly moved in to kiss her, Macy's heart was beating out of her chest. At this time, Macy was beginning to wake up, but as the dream was ending. She felt his lips brushed on hers and his velvety whisper of, "Who are ya gonna to believe?"
Macy sat straight up and touched her lips. It was just seconds ago she had savored his lips on hers. 'What was that dream really about, I wonder,' thought Macy.
She pulled the covers back and went to turn on the water spout to the bathtub. As the water was running, Macy undressed and slipped into the warm, relaxing tub. She let out a sigh, this helped out so much, for it calmed her. She then tilted her head back and closed her eyes and drifted into dream once more.
There she saw herself in a larger tub, full of bubbles that blanket her body entirely. As she was waking up, she heard what seemed to be a male's voice coming inside the room. She raised up, grabbed the towel and wrapped it around herself and hopped out.
'There's no one here!' She thought, flabbergasted. 'Obviously, sleep was impossible for tonight.' Macy acknowledged in a grumble.
