« autumn »i awake in the dead of the night, seeing as it's still pitch black outside and the alarm clock on the dresser reads 3:21 am. i toss to my other side, a little startled when i see hayes' asleep body lying next to mine. i forgot that i went back to his room. i exhale deeply, calming myself from the little scare. now to decide what to do with this situation. on one hand: this is the perfect opportunity to sneak back to my half of the house and no one has to know, but on the other hand: my body is screaming at me to snuggle closer to him and fall back asleep. is the endless teasing i will be enduring if i risk this worth it? eh, not really, i can sleep with him any other time.
i sit up, rubbing the sleep away from my eyes so i can focus properly on the mission that i've given myself. it takes a moment to convince myself that this is what i want, but once i do, i'm standing up and ready to exit the room. i look back once more, only to see gilinsky awake and staring at me. i run my hand down my face, feeling stupid for even trying to leave without waking anyone.
he smirks at me, realizing that i was laying on the ground with hayes. "i won't tell anyone." he confirms, allowing me to relax a little. i mouth a 'thank you', exiting the room and shutting the door quietly. i tiptoe back to the girls' quarters and silently get back into my original spot next to viv.
it takes a while, but after dismissing the idea of g telling everyone, i peacefully drift to sleep.

when i wake up for the second time today, it is to loud noise in the kitchen. i sit up to see all of the girls surrounding the island and it looks like they're decorating pancakes or something of that sort. i run a hand through my hair, yawning. i make my way to the group of my friends, taking longer than needed just to show that i'm still tired and they don't need to throw a bunch of giggles and squeals onto me right away.
they all give me suggestive smiles, looking way too excited to see me. i raise an eyebrow, suspicious because of their odd behaviour. there's no way that they're genuinely this happy to see me awake. "what's um.. what's up, guys?" i ask confusedly. they all shrug, biting their lips and going back to their pancake making. i furrow my brows, dismissing their weird actions.
our eyes are all directed to the boys' door as it opens, revealing matthew, jack, jack and hayes. they're all shirtless and all of us are practically drooling over each other, j walks up to emma and kisses her, bidding her good morning. she blushes fiercely, all of our mouthes dropping open. hayes catches my eyes, winking at me and scratching his stomach.
he seats himself next to me on a barstool and leans into my ear while everyone else is too caught up with each other. "you left me last night," he mutters, waiting for our gaze to meet. i turn my head slightly, only to look at his smirk but then face forward again.
"did i? i don't recall," i play dumb, scratching the top of my head although i clearly haven't forgotten. he narrows his eyes, playfully glaring at me.
"don't play dumb with me, pumpkin," he challenges, smirking at me. my lips twist up in a slight grin as i chew on my lip to try and hide it. he leans away from me, joining a nearby conversation with emma and jack. i glance around the room, only to see that madison is talking to gilinsky but he doesn't seem to be paying attention. rather, he's giving me a smug look. i shake my head, telling him to be quiet.
"so how was everyone's night?" tori asks, scanning the room to watch everyone's facial expressions. hayes and i make eye contact which lasts longer than i intended it to. he smirks at me, sending a blush onto my cheeks. i see out of the corner of my eye; the same scenario going down with mads and g.
"awesome," matthew smiles, not catching onto the fact that we're all trying to expose each other. i chuckle at his innocence, crossing my legs on the barstool.
