The week passed uneventfully, and slowly in both Theodosia and Philip's eyes. The hospital felt like a prison, trapping the weak and sick while drawing the healthy in.

Theodosia weakly stood up, putting her arm around Philip's neck to keep her balance. Wrapping his arm around her waist, Philip slowly guided her out of the dreaded building and down the street to a waiting carriage.

*********

Snapping the latch on her suitcase closed, Theo pulled it off the bed and took it to the living room, struggling with the weight.

Running over, Philip took the case from her hands, smiling. "Be careful. You've only been out of the hospital for two weeks." He chuckled, and put it down by the door. "You got everything? Judging from the weight of your suitcase, I think you have more than enough." Kissing her forehead, he sat down on the sofa.

Theo playfully rolled her eyes before sitting down next to him. "It's going to be kind of strange seeing my father again. He thinks I'm off studying the world. In reality, I'm with one of the only people who doesn't think I-" She stopped, not wanting to tell him about her past. "Never mind. I'm just glad to be here."

Confusedly nodding, Philip stood up and helped Theo up. "Your carriage will be here soon. Do you want help downstairs?"

She shook her head. "I think I'll be okay. Thank you though."

"I'm going to miss you while you're gone." He wrapped her in a hug.

"Don't worry, I'll only be gone for a week. Can you survive until then?" She laughed.

"I'll try," he said, pretending to pout.

Kissing Philip on the cheek, Theodosia opened the front door. "Bye!" she called out, picking up her suitcase. She carefully closed the door and hurried down the stairs and outside to a waiting carriage.

*********

Groaning, Philip flopped on the couch for what felt like the umpteenth time. Theodosia was well on her way to her father's, leaving Philip all alone. She's been gone forever. I hope she comes back soon.

A gentle knock at the door pulled him off the couch. Opening the door, his eyes met a woman who couldn't be any older than he was. "Hello, um, may I help you?"

"I'm sorry to bother you, but my boyfriend kicked me out, and I-I don't have a place to go. Is it okay if I come in for a little?" Her cheeks blushed pink, and she brushed a long blonde curl out of her face.

Philip stood frozen for a second before finally stammering, "Oh! Um, yeah, sure, come on in." His face turned bright red.

Shutting the door behind her, he lead her into the living room. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name."

"I'm Madelyn McVaughn," she said, and held out her hand.

"I'm Philip. Philip Hamilton." He took her hand and kissed it. Theodosia had slipped out of his mind entirely.

"So, Philip, do you have a girlfriend?" Madelyn asked.

"No! I mean, I-" He shook his head. "No, I don't."

A smile appeared on her face, and she slid closer to him. "What a shame, after all, you're rather handsome."

His face burned red. "Oh, thanks. And you, you're- you're gorgeous." He smiled back at her. "I don't think I've ever seen anyone as beautiful as you."

Madelyn smiled again, and her legs shifted. "Thank you."

Philip's eyes drifted down, but he quickly looked back up. "So, um, what happened with your boyfriend? I mean, you don't have to tell me, but-" Madelyn stopped him.

"It's okay. He just got angry at me for no reason and threw me out." She sighed, looking at him. "And now I'm all alone for who knows how long!"

Philip's face burned redder. "Well, you're welcome to stay here for as long as you need."

Madelyn smiled, shifting again. "Do you mind?"

He looked confused. "Do I mind wh-" she cut him off by pushing her lips against his.

Philip was shocked at first, but kissed her back, running his fingers through her hair. She wrapped her arms around his neck.

Breaking away, Madelyn smiled breathlessly. She stood up and took his hand, pulling him towards his and Theodosia's bedroom. Philip didn't resist.

Shutting the door behind him, Madelyn pinned him against the wall and began kissing him again. Sighing, he let his fingers get lost in her blonde curls. She tugged at his shirt collar, rubbing his arms.

Philip quickly unbuttoned his shirt, throwing it onto the floor. He guided her backwards and let her continue kissing.

And he never said no.

THAT ESCALATED SO QUICKLY. Oh well...

I was mentally screaming at Philip, even though I'm the one controlling him, oops...

Hope you enjoyed,
