I'm currently feeling so nostalgic man. I renewed my playlist on my computer (literally the only one I use) except one Troye Sivan song that I didn't really care that it was there bc I usually only replay the same 2 songs but I wasn't really paying attention and it played and man. It brought so many memories.
My wattpad is dead.
Wattpad used to mean the world to me. On it 24/7
Obsessed with my notifications which made me smile, now I force myself to come here occasionally.
I remember when I considered myself trash, during that time I hated myself, felt insecure, and especially about my gender. I wanted "male" everything. I broke so many friendships by isolating myself. I used to listen to Troye Sivan, Halsey, Twenty One Pilots , Panic! at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, 5sos, tried to listen to Black Veil Brides, Pierce The Veil, All Time Low, My Chemical Romance and such. I'm not blaming anyone or accusing as such but this time was horrible for me and I liked it at the time.
When someone for example says It's okay to be broken doesn't mean being broken is cool and trendy. For example twenty one pilots, they have such good lyrics that help a lot going through stuff but a different thing is when someone says hey! this is music so must be trendy! lol relatable. No? It isn't cool to relate to this. It isn't cool to relate to depression. This music (as an example) is to help people , not to make depression seem like a cool thing. People need to understand this !!!
What I don't like about most of the modern "alternative" "fandoms" or suchlike is that (most)(in general) people think it's cute and relatable to be like omg I'm socially awkward and antisocial!1! lol1!! I have depression and anxiety, how cool!1!! No? There is people who actually in matter in fact are diagnosed and they cope with this music and people to get helped through but the rest that are just trying to relate , like no?? pls stop.
sorry this turned into a mini rant but (even though I was like this at one point) it just isn't right. So in case you've read this wrong and are cracking your necks and about to write this long ass paragraph on how disrespectful this is, what I'm trying to say is that there's a difference with coping with music and those who just think it's fun and relatable to things that aren't cute and relatable.
