Years ago, there was a war between three nations. These nations were Brindam, Aufilia, and Nodia. Each of these nations seek to conquer the other two and this had led to the biggest war in history on the land of Aulkan. Knights swung their swords, blocked attacks with their shields, and bellowed out battle cries. Wizards casted dangerous spells, threw potion bombs, and summoned beings to aid in the war. Archers let their arrows rain with fire on its tips, and shoot out enemies that got too close within their range. The War of Three had caused so much bloodshed that it seemed that the battle grounds were flooded with crimson liquid.
The kings of Brindam and Aufilia prayed to Goddess Edelle, the goddess of fortune and fate, along with the other goddesses. They prayed that they hope to reign victorious in the war to gain power and lands. The Nodian king on the other hand, did not pray to any goddess. He did not believe that there was a goddess and he believed that having more force and having more men would lead him to victory. This had led him to recruiting more people from his kingdom which had made the population dwindle at a fast rate.
One night, the Brindam king had a dream. He dreamt of a beautiful woman in gold clothing and golden hair that falls down to her knees. Her aura seemed to had a golden touch in it too. The woman in gold came to the Brindam king with a message.
"Please, stop the War of Three." She pleaded. "Mother Aulkan is in pain. She does not like it that the people of her land are against each other for power and riches. If you do not stop this war, the three nations shall fall."
The woman in gold told this message with a grave look in her golden eyes. These eyes looked at the king until he woke up in a cold sweat. He felt that the dream he wasn't just any dream. He believed that it was Goddess Edelle that warned him about her prediction. He got worried and went to his royal wizard for advice. Wizards were known to be more knowledgeable about dreams and goddesses, and the Brindam royal wizard confirmed that it was Goddess Edelle who came to his dream and her message may be true. Once knowing this, the Brindam king sent a letter the Aufilian and Nodian kings about his dream.
The three kings met in neutral ground to discuss about the dream and the peace treaty days later. The Aufilian king claimed that he also had the same dream, while the Nodian king said he heard a voice in his dream though he did not see a woman in gold. The conditions were set for the peace treaty, but the Nodian king was having doubts about it. The Brindam and Aufilian kings convinced him until he finally signed the peace treaty.
After the war, everything was peaceful and better for the three kingdoms. It seemed that Goddess Edelle had showered them with a reward for stopping the war. They had been prosperous and helped each other in any way possible. Though, the Nodian nation wasn't that developed as the other two nations. It's as if that the nation's time to recover from the war had slowed down. Was it because the Nodian king did not believed in goddesses?
