[07] Lacrosse boys

"Of course you're still the team captain. You got your grades up just like Coach told you to, right?" Stiles told his best friend, Scott. Lucas rolled his eyes at the two, their dreams of becoming good at lacrosse looked impossible when they weren't involved in the supernatural world. Now, only one of them needs improvement in the sport department and that is Lucas' younger brother.

Lucas let out a snort, rolling his eyes playfully as he forced himself to slow down in his steps to easily walk side by side with the other two. "I suggest you quit playing lacrosse and focus on being the hero of this town."

He held his hands up in surrender when he received a glare from the two best friends. "Geez, it was only a suggestion."

Scott shook his head, "Yeah, but he never told me I was back on the team. He just told me to show up at tryouts today." He told Stiles, answering his previous question and ignoring Lucas' comment.

"We got bigger things to deal with anyway. Did you tell Argent yet?" The youngest Stilinski aimed that question to Scott.

Scott's eyebrows raised in amusement when he remembered doing it. "Ah. I texted him–" They were hoping that he replied. "–but he didn't get back to me."

"Scott, in the first place, why did you send him a text and not give him a call. I'm sure he'll give you an answer there." Lucas told the werewolf, rolling his eyes at his idiot friend.

Meanwhile, Stiles had his eyes wide. He resisted the urge to smack his best friend's head, considering that it won't be a big deal because he's part of the supernatural world. "You told him his sister Kate came back from the dead over a text?" He almost shouted.

Scott shrugged innocently, "I didn't have the money to call France."

"Yeah, you think you got money problems? Try paying for an MRI and a visit to Eichen House." Stiles said, letting out a long sigh when he remembered seeing the envelope that was placed on his father's desk.

This caught Lucas' attention, though. "So, that was what you saw on Dad's desk in the office." He spoke up, his eyes flickering to the ground. He knew that money was a problem to them now, considering they have a lot to pay nowadays. Stiles' stay at the Eichen House being one of those.

Scott's eyebrows furrowed, "Another notice?"

Stiles nodded once, "Yeah, this one said, 'Final'." He paused, blinking twice before talking again. "Now, what the hell are we even doing here anyway? We got like a 117 million problems and worrying about our status on the lacrosse team is not one of them." Of course, after letting out those words, they noticed someone new doing great at lacrosse.

"It is now." Their eyes fell on the young boy, playing lacrosse at the moment. While the two lacrosse boys had their eyebrows raised due to shock, Lucas crossed his arms over his chest with a smug grin playing along his lips. Truth be told, the lacrosse team of Beacon Hills High School sucks and he's glad that there's already someone new who's really good at lacrosse.

Stiles blinked rapidly, shaking his head and gestured towards the freshman. "Who the hell is that?"

"Nice, Liam. You might just be our first ever freshman captain." Garrett commented, smiling at Liam.
