Every night he violated me.
Every single night!
I became a woman at a very young age, I was ten when it first happened.
He came in to my room like he wanted to talk to me.
But he stole my innocence instead, took away the smile from my face.
I didn't tell Mama or anyone because he begged me not to.
The next day he came again, I screamed for help but nobody came.
Mama was the only one home but her ears didn't and couldn't hear me.
At the age of sixteen, I couldn't take it anymore.
I decided to tell Mama.
I told Mama and I watched her breath her last.
Mama collapsed upon hearing the pain I was going through.
After the death of Mama, I thought he wouldn't bother me again.
But I thought wrong.
His friends even took turns in having me.
Everyday I faced pain, and he took pay for my pains, Every night, he took another pay, My body.
I decided to fight him the next time he comes, to defend myself.
And so he did came, for the usual.
I used the pestle I took from the kitchen on his head.
I watched him fall to the ground and blood flowed out of his head.
I ran out of the house.
I woke up in a strange room with pains all over my body.
I took in my environment and saw someone, A man, I screamed and thought he also came for the usual.
But he calmed me down and told me I ran into his car and he brought me to the hospital.
A door opened and a man in a white coat walked in .
You are awake he said,
He beckoned on the man to follow him outside.
He got to the door and said to me,
Miss, you are lucky the fall you had didn't affect your unborn child and they left the room.
I was beyond shock. Sadness washed over me.
I felt tears flow down my eyes.
I was pregnant with "My Mother's Husband" "Friends " Child!
