My Mystery~ Nate Parker

Lola POV

I have double science next, which means two hours of one of the worlds worst subjects. I hate science with a passion, as I'm not good at it, and it's boring.

Lucy told me to follow Nate, as he is apparently in my next class. Even though i spent break with him and his friends, I make sure that I follow being a bit behind him. This is because a, I don't know him, and didn't speak to him, and b, I want be alone right now, and can tell that he does too. As well as the fact that I am shy.

I walk into the classroom to see that most people are already in their seats (great). I walk up to the teachers desk, just as he looks up. "Are you Lola?" He asks. I nod my head, not really wanting to speak. "Right," he says, while standing up and scans the room, "You can sit by Nate." As he points out the chair, by Nate. I nod, and go and sit down where he said. I realise that Nate now has his sunglasses off, meaning that I can actually see his eyes. He has dark brown eyes, which are slightly slanted, which make him look cute. I don't fancy him, but do think he looks a little cute. As you can't fancy someone who you literally met five minuets ago.

The lesson goes by quite slowly, me and Nate don't talk to each other, and just sit in silence. Though it isn't an award silence, just a nice calm one. It's a hundred percent not a twilight scene. As Nate is not holding his nose throughout the lesson, on the edge of his chair, and I do not keep staring at him with my mouth open, like Bella does in the movie. I actually used to love the twilight series, it's literally my childhood, which is sorta sad thinking about it now, but I still love it to be honest.

The end of the lesson (or should I say lessons) came quicker than expected. I don't know if I should go back to the bench that I was at, at break or not, cause I'm still not sure if I'm really wanted there, and I don't want to 'intrude' with Levi and his friends. Nate suddenly says, "You coming to the bench again?" I'm sort of shocked that Nate talked. I've only heard him say his name, and 'yes' to the register. To be honest he seems to remind me of myself- likes to keep to ourselves. "Um, I don't know." I say truthfully.

"Then come." He says.

I do a weak smile, "Okay then." He does a half smile back, and we walk to the bench in silence.

As we walk up to the bench, I spot Lucy. She is sat next to Levi, he has his arm around her protectively. I can tell that he likes her a lot. Lucy is laughing, and seems happy, this makes me smile to see my cousin so happy with Lucy.

Lucy spots me and Nate, and jumps up to give me a hug. I'm not really a touchy person, as in I don't usually like to be touched, but I like Lucy, and she seems really nice, so I try not to mind. "Hi!" She says very excitedly.

"Hey." I say back, probably not as enthusiastic as her, though she doesn't seem to mind.

I talk to Lucy, well she mostly talks to me, and I listen for most of lunch. I prefer to just listen, which I explained to Lucy, at the start of lunch. I like Lucy, as I feel like she respects me and won't make me do anything that I don't like to do. Levi suddenly comes up and puts his arms round Lucy from behind, while resting his chin on her shoulder. "What's up?" She says, while smiling.

"Nothing." He says while smirking.

"Ew get a room." Says Drew, in a really bad girly American accent.

"Have we even given you guys a ship name yet?" Asks Austin.

"Nah I don't think you have." Says Levi, while standing up straight.

"What about Lecy." Says Drew.

"That's honestly one of the worst ship names I've every heard." Says Austin, while laughing.

"What about Luvi." I say.

"Oh my gosh yes!" Says Lucy.

"Luvi for life." Adds Drew.

The rest of the day went by quickly, I had English with Lucy last, so I wasn't alone. Then after that, it was time to go home, so i head out to wait for Levi.

The first day of school was actually a success, which I did not expect.
