It was the next day. I didn't get much sleep. It's loud, people screaming, crying, and whispering. It felt like I was going insane, with all the voices. They were everywhere. All of a sudden a loud shout, a mans voice. It was piscatello. He's an officer. The scariest, most intimidating of all the guards for sure. "BREAKFAST! GET THE FUCK UP!" I got up immediately. My bunk mates were already gone. I put my jumpsuit on and went to get breakfast. I got served by a woman, older than the rest of us. She had short, dark red hair and has glasses placed on top. Her face was emotionless. I didn't know how to react. My food was just like slime on a tray. I didn't know where to sit, or who to sit with. There was so many different cliques. I didn't know which where I would fit in. I saw my bunkmate, the one from New York. She saw me too and smiled and invited me to join her and her friends. She was with 4 people. My other roommate, a girl who also had a strong New York accent, a small woman who looked about the age of thirty and that girl, the blonde one. She didn't talk much. Well, not to me anyway. I then went to the bathrooms. They were... what can I say? How you'd expect prison bathrooms to be like. Dirty, crowded and broken. People crowded around the mirrors like ants around spilled juice, just so they could put there makeup on. I don't wear makeup. Anyway. I waited in line for a the mirrors so I could freshen up. I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned round to see the blonde girl. She put her hand out to shake mine."Piper" she said. I shook her hand. "Ash" I replied. "I saw you when you looking at me when you came in" she said with a smirk. I blushed. "you did?" I laughed nervously. "Don't worry about it, I'm not making you nervous am I?" she said sarcastically "no,no, I just didn't realise" I replied quickly. "You seem like a nice person Ash. Don't associate yourself with the wrong people" she said quietly. "Yeah you too, I'll try not too" I said, trying not to sound confused. "See you around". "See you" she said. For the rest of the day all I thought about was what she said. Who are the wrong people? It was then time for us to go to our bunks. The went by pretty quickly. I got to my room, to see my bunk mate sitting on my bed. "That's my bunk" I said louder than I should've. "No shit" she replied with a croaky laugh. "I just wanted to get to know you a bit" "right. Sorry." I said as I shaked my head and laughed. "Nichols." "Ash." "Nice to meet you Ash." "You too." "Where you from with that cute accent?" She asked with a smirk. "Thanks and England" I said as I bit my lip and chuckled quietly. "I'm guessing your from New York" I said hoping I was correct. "Just outside" she said. "Cool, I've never been." "Eh it's nothing special" she said with a shrug. "Anyway imma get some sleep" "yeah okay, night" "night, Ash." That was nice. At least I have people to talk to in here now. I suppose prison isn't that bad. Yet...
