Jules heard Josh's loud truck pull up in her drive-way at 5:17. "I said to come at 5:30." Jules just shook her head.

Josh just walked in the house like he usually does. Since they are best friends. "Hey Jules, I'm here!" Jules just walked out of the kitchen. "Oh, hey". Josh just stared at her. "What's wrong?" Jules just smirked at this. "Nothing". "Hmm" said, Josh. "If your sure. You know I'm always here to talk right?" "Mhm" Jules mumbled.

After about 40 minutes of them talking about general stuff Jules brings up the question. "Why?" Josh looked puzzled. "What?" Jules said, "You know what.... don't act dumb". Josh looked deeply into her ocean blue eyes and said "No, I don't". Jules was on the edge of tears. Josh looked as if he was too. "We've been friends for a long time and I didn't think this was true. But, me and Kay have been best friends for a longer time". Josh was sobbing. "What do you mean?" At this point they were both crying. "Kay told me that you said that you cheated on her with me!" Josh just stood there. "Well?" Jules demanded. "Jules, I would never ever do such a thing. I know you probably believe her. I mean she is your best friend but, trust me I didn't say that." Jules was so confused. "Well, why would she say that then? You guys are dating." Josh took a deep breath and closed his eyes. "I don't know." "She said that she didn't want to be friends with you much longer about a month ago. I didn't tell you because I didn't think she was serious." They both stood there in silence.
Who should she believe? Her "best friend" or her "friend". Later on finding out neither of them were a good choice.
