At first glance, this may seem like an extremely odd and most likely written by someone who was bored and wrote a random story to post on Wattpad. Seeing a description containing onions, passing out, paintings, and mattresses will usually give that impression. Upon further inspection, you realise it is quite the opposite. Written with a purpose in mind, this story goes much farther than onions. The story is much deeper than many horror stories I've ever read.
This is definitely a well-written short story. Grammatically and spelling-wise, I'd say this story is flawless. However, I do think it is a bit hard to follow.
It is not necessarily a scary story, so if you are seeking that specific sort of horror, I suggest you look elsewhere. If you are just looking for a sad, heartrending story to read, I do believe this will do the trick.
Overall, I would say this a nice story. Well-written and with a great idea in mind. Would I purchase it if I saw it on a bookshelf? Most likely not.
