Tendou was bullied as a child but as he found a volleyball team in middle school he started to feel normal.
The first person to accept him had been Semi, they came close friends after that and even joined high school together.
Both being accepted into the Shiratorizawa Academy's volleyball team. They'd dreamt of becoming professionals at a young age and wanted to pursue it together.
But as the 2 third years lost in their final match for nationals they both realised something, knowing they were soon to go separate ways.
Volleyball wouldn't be the same without each other.
As much as they wanted to stay together they couldn't, volleyball was a dream they wanted to achieve together.
Their dream died as their distance grew greater. But Tendou never forgot the boy who accepted him for him.
Semi could never let go of the boy who made his dream an almost reality.
They could never forget each other, but they weren't meant to be together.
