Biology sucks and so does cheer leading

Two weeks later
Mike's pov

"The year has barely even started and I already fucking hate biology. How am I supposed to know every single part of human cells? Why would I even want to know that?"
Daniel's patiently listening to my entire rant. We're sitting in front of the lockers as we always do before class. We've become good friends over the past weeks and neither of us mind spending our lunch breaks together. Right now I'm trying to get the homework I didn't do done, while he's eating lunch and helping me understand the exercises.
"It's not that hard when you look in your textbook, you know."
He points at a picture of different parts of cells in my book.
"This doesn't even look like the picture in the workbook," I say, comparing the two images.
"Jeez, Mike. It's not exactly the same, but the parts are still similar."
"That's mito-something, right?" I ask Daniel, pointing at the picture.
He sighs. "Those are the ribosomes."
"I was close."
I look at my watch and see there's only five minutes of lunch break left.
"Ugh, I still don't get it and the break's almost over."
"I could help you studying," Daniel suggests, noticing my slight panic. My eyes light up.
"That'd be great."
"Today after school?" He asks. I close my books and nod.
"Sure. Thanks already."
For some reason I'm really looking forward to it. I don't know why I'm excited to study. But as I see Daniel smiling at me, I know it.
I'm not excited to study, I'm excited to be with Daniel.
I immediately shake off the thought.

Jacky's pov

My friend Blossom and I are getting ready for PE. All the other girls already left the changing room, leaving us two alone. I'm putting on my shoes as she looks at me. "So," she says, combing her long hair.
"I heard we're playing lacrosse today."
"Great." Lacrosse reminds me of Jamie, he's the best player in our school. I used to watch him play every week. But that was last year, when I was still part of the cheerleading team. I decided to quit once I found out about April and Jamie. Cause let's be honest, I only participated so that I could be at Jamies matches and cheer for him.
"You coming?" Blossom ask me. I shake away the thought and nod.
"Yeah, okay."
