Aprils pov

"Hey girls."
I sit down next to Dacey and Robyn, putting my lunch plate on the table in front of me.
Dacey raises her eyebrows at me.
"Is it true?"
I take a sip from my coca cola and look at her. "Is what true?"
Robyn rolls her eyes.
"That you're dating Jamie, duh."
"Why is that a surprise?" I ask my friends.
"Jamie. As in 'cool senior year lacrosse playing guy every girl in school has a crush on'. Of course it's a surprise you managed to get him to date you," Dacey  says. I smile.
"It's not that hard."
"Oh no," Robyn exclaims.
"You didn't sleep with him just so he wants to date you, right?"
"Tell me you didn't," Dacey says in a warning tone.
"Relax. We've been together this whole summer. I'm not just his booty call."
Robyn lets out a relieved sigh.
"Thank god."
I take a bite from my sandwich when I see them walking past our table in the cafetaria. Jacky and Mike.
"Ugh," I say. "Looks who's here."
Robyn and Dacey watch as the two losers pick a table and sit down.
"I was hoping they would drop off this year. Well, guess not," Robyn says, clearly annoyed. Dacey takes a bite from her apple.
"Those idiots. They're like always together, I wonder if they even have other friends."
"Could they be dating?" Robyn asks, furrowing her eyebrows.
"Nah," I say. "Mike's hella gay."
Dacey looks at me. "Really?"
"Yeah, he's just not out yet. And even if he were straight, he doesn't stand a chance with Jacky. She already has a crush on my boyfriend."
"It's cute," Robyn admits.
"That artsy nerd really thinks Jamie might like her back, no fucking way."
At that moment I see Jamie entering the cafetaria, two of his friends walking next to him.
"Let's make it clear he doesn't."
I get up from my seat and walk toward Jamie. "Hey, April," he says, smiling. Without answering, I firmly press my lips against his. He's surprised but kisses me back quick. I run my fingers through his hair and look over his shoulder. I can see Jacky looking at us, totally disgusted and I kiss Jamie even harder, my eyes still focused on Jacky.
Though I can't say anything with my tongue in Jamies mouth, I deliver a very clear message with just my facial expression.
He's mine.

Daniels pov

"And that's how enough oxygen is constantly-"
The school bell rings and Kylo sighs.
"Alright, class. No homework because it's the first week. See you tomorrow."
Everyone packs their bags and gets up from their chairs. Right when I want to leave the classroom Kylo stops me.
"Daniel, I want to have a small conversation with you."
I turn around to look at him. "But I have maths right now."
"It'll only take a couple of minutes."
Kylo shuts the door.
"Sit down," he says, gesturing to the seat in front of his desk. I sigh and do as he says. "If this is about me using my phone in class. Just give me detention and it's fine."
"That's not it. It's about your relationship."
"Huh?" I say, raising my eyebrows.
"I know you've been my teachers for three years and we're like friends. But you're not supposed to be involved in my private life."
Kylo shrugs.
"Maybe not, but I still am. And I happen to know one of your best kept secrets, Daniel."
"What?"
"Oh come one, you're just staying with your girlfriend because she's-"
"Shut up!" I shout. "Kylo, what the fuck do you want from me?"
He gets up and leans his arms on my table, his face awfully close to mine.
"I have a feeling you already know."
I shake my head full disbelief and immediately get up.
"You're acting weird. I'm gonna go to maths class."
I walk out of the classroom as fast as I can and close the door behind me.
What the fuck just happened?
