Nikki POV

I groaned, wincing as my little sister's music echoed loudly through the house, once again. I yelled,

"ASHLEY! Keep the FREAKIN MUSIC DOWN. Some of us aren't freshman and actually have work to do."

She yelled back,

"Since when is flirting with Sean work?"

I felt a blush rise up my neck as she uttered the word "Sean". Sean and I weren't exactly official yet, but we had been on many dates that had gone very well. I sighed. I just wanted us to be official.

My door opened, revealing my sister Angelica. She chewed on gum and spoke like she was in a hurry,

"Nikki, I don't know what to do. So Alex told me he was taking me on a date today, but wouldn't tell me where. So I just texted Dani and she spilled and said that he has tickets to go to the EMPIRE FREAKING STATE BUILDING."

I rolled my eyes. Here goes Angelica, being dramatic about her boy problems again. At least her and Alex are OFFICIALLY dating. I asked,

"I don't see a problem here."

She whined,

"Nikki, I'm deathly afraid of heights. I'm going to be there, trying to enjoy some time with Alex. I can't be scared for my life."

I rolled my eyes again, and shooed her out. I stared at my homework in fustration. Unable to concentrate on geometry, I barged into my other sister, Angel's room.

She was repainting her room for the millionth time this year. The walls were covered in black, and she was painting what seemed to be flames on her wall. I giggled and said,

"Wow, Angel, I knew you hated swimming and anything to do with deep water, but are you really gonna paint your room in flames?"

She rolled her eyes,

"This isn't because I'm afraid of swimming. It's because I'm trying to illustrate the flames flickering inside of me, just ready to be ignited."

I sighed. Angel had become a completely different person ever since she had started liking Dani. Every week, it was a new personality to see which side of her Dani liked best. Last week, she was a flirty volleyball player. This week, she was an analytical poet.

I walked out of her room, and almost ran into Angelica. She was wearing a casual dress, and her hair was done. She ran out the door without saying goodbye. The roar of her cars engine filled the house as she drove away.

Angelica POV

I spotted Alex before he spotted me. He was wearing a blue and green sweater, and his hair was freshly cut. He spotted my truck, and I jumped out. I pretended to brush off my dress, not wanting to seem too eager for this anticipated date.

We stood in front of the empire state building. It towered over us, acting as a shade in the New York summer heat. There were a few people milling around, but not enough for it to appear busy.

"Hey Ang!" I heard Alex's voice and I looked up into his grayish green eyes, smiling as he came over to hug me.

"Hey Alex!" I said trying to hide my scared expression, why of all damn things he chose it had to be one with heights!

"Ready?" He asked me and I shyly nodded and he grabbed my hand and led me into the tower, I looked around at the incredible architecture until Alex grabbed my hand and dragged me to the elevator.

"We're going to the top!" He said with a grin on his face and I felt my stomach drop, the top, anything but that, shoot me in the head for crying out loud but not the freaking top of the Empire State building!
